We're in the U.K. with perfect weather. Visited mum in Retford and stayed at the Bluebell at Lound.
This morning rode the bikes in Sherwood Pines and are now on Riverside Gardens CS at Bothamsall. Since our last visit last August/September Mick has added new features. Picnic benches all along the river and a cafe at weekends.
That looks like a cracking little site, thanks for the 'heads up'.are now on Riverside Gardens CS at Bothamsall.
looks great Ive book marked that one, didnt know it existed and only 34 mins from me.
Can you fish in the little river? are there any facilities on site at all.
There are toilets on site, including for the disabled and Mick says you can fish in the river, he's not a bailiff! He has a cafe at weekends but doesn't have electricity. With your solar panel not a problem!
It's a thin strip of land next to the little river and very well managed by a very nice owner.
Hi did you see any kingfishers along the canal? We saw and photographed one when we were there a few years ago. We liked that area but a bit too flat.
Good luck with the running both of you! Hope it's not to wet and slippery!
Just got back both of us intact!
The planner caught many of us out with a sneaky first control point the "other" side of a high wall. Many of us made the same mistake . Other than that it was a good challenging course.
It's grey and damp here but no actual rain.
Son in law poped up to look, he said it looked competitive rain just stoped here having bd cake and coffee
All looks wonderful! Curry is the icing on the cake!!Now at Ilkley visiting with the Hagstrom's Ros and Norman. Walked up onto the moors behind their house today. Called in to look at the Stations of the Cross before heading out into open moorland.

Once out on open moorland we were spotted by parent lapwings who tried to take our attention from their young.
The dot on top of the first post is a young lapwing.

At the highest point of our walk we stopped for lunch. We were asked by four young females if we could tell them where they were and how to get to their destination!!! All they had was a route on a mobile. Luckily the weather stayed warm because they weren't well prepared.
