French Aire night fright

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES stay overnight on autoroute/motorway "aires" in France, it's asking for trouble, get off the motorway and use the proper little wires in the villages and small towns, hopefully you're not in a hurry so enjoy the quiet D & N roads and the pretty towns and villages, use the available Apps, e.g. park4night , searchforsites, there are others but those two alone will probably be all you need. Don't be put off by making a newbie mistake, you'll soon get your confidence back, safe travels. Gwyntaxi
Thanks for that advice. Part of my dilema is that we have an American RV 33 foot long, 12.3 foot high and 10 foot wide-so getting onto the smaller roads is not always a good option-could be low bridges/cables and restriction of 7.5 tons and we are 8.1-so that is why we were looking at Aires close to the big roads-we don't want to get stuck somewhere!!

If you are coming down the A75 and crossing into Spain there is a very popular aire at Gruissan, near Narbonne.
Lots of big rigs, often towing trailers, come here en-route to and from Spain.
It’s an easy drive, about 10 miles, from the motorway and there is loads of space.
€9 per night inc water and dump, there are also showers and toilets.

It’s not a bad spot to spend a few days if you’re not in a rush.

PS. It’s the aire at the marina, Le Quatre Vents. (Or similar spelling :))
Thanks so much-I have checked that out and we have planned that into our route. That is good to know we can get in there :)
