Not been there for close on a quarter of a century but nice part of the world. The zoo's worth a visit.

It still is very popular. Always looks busy but not our thing. Prefer animals not in zoos

We have been travelling through Northern Spain and through Portugal- now now in Lisbon -most sites muck less than half full - camping Covas Park in Covas just past the Northern border well
worth a visit -lovely site - cheap as chips- and it’s restaurant serving a 3 course meal for 2 inc bottle of wine €35!
