Forum members, does being a long time member mean you know everything?

How do you guys know how many posts and likes you have got, nothing shows up on my phone which is all I use on here now.
Thought they must have been removed at the last revamp.
Just click on your own name at the top,

Lodge park dear, lodge park! We watched the episode last night, his new home was bit OTT and not very practical IMV ... cost a bomb too!

That's the one!

He'd obviously got loads of money and the build wouldn't have been my choice. I did find him a genuine and nice chap though and a self made man. The way he was going though, I thought he might be working his way into an early grave. perhaps he will slow down now.

I am a new member on the forum and trying to find my feet, its always best to keep a low profile I guess when you join and work out who is who, I am just wondering how YOU work out who knows what, it seems some people think they know a lot but don't and some who don't inadvertently say things that are really helpful. I guess just because someone has been a member for a long time no doubt have great experience but also some might be out of touch with reality e.g. modern ways of doing things and likewise new members who may some great knowledge, some may have chips on their shoulders, some problems that need help, how do YOU work out who is who and what method do you use?

I just want to be diplomatic and get the most out of the forum as I can, I will of course add any of my experiences if I feel I have any to help others, that I guess is how it should be.

GREAT forum by the way and well run!

Thanks,
Some appear to think so as is the case in many forums. I often think of a phrase once used in Parliament, “Everything on this subject has been said, but not everybody has said it yet”

Don’t worry about individual thread contributions, rather look at it as a whole. Most every question on the forum will be resolved by the threads end, if someone gives dodgy or wrong advice to a question in a thread, it will be corrected by others very quickly. That is only true of busy forums. most other UK motorhome forums a question might have the wrong answer for days before someone logs in and corrects it.
I wouldn’t listen to this fellow 596 he thinks he owns the place!;)

Donald Rumsfeld”There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

It’s probably the latter type who post who are the most irritating! :emo:

I think he is Jim's cousin engaged to create new threads and thought provoking posts.?

You are the first publicly, along with two others privately, to suggest that I might actually be 596 on a wind-up, '\ whilst I could prove easily that I'm not, it would definitely break GDPR rules if I did. So you'll have to believe me when I say categorically that he has nothing to do with me. '\

Don't know what your tee shirt says Tam but it must be disgusting. My phone won:t open it.

................ Whisper to me... What does it say?
