Anybody having problems with the app ?
I received 2 x 105AH Fogstar Drifts today.
I down loaded the app on to my phone but no matter what I do my phone just searches and searches and doesn't connect.
I have also down loaded the app on to my tablet but that won't connect either.
I have Bluetooth and location turned on on both devices and have uninstalled and re-installed the app several times on both devices but still no joy.
I can connect to other devices via Bluetooth no problem.

Solution2
Due to slight differences in resistances due to manufacture and even temperature, and electricity always takes the path of least resistance there will inevitably be one battery that drops quicker them the other my two Aolithium batteries rarely discharge at exactly the same rate there is always a slight difference, but not enough to cause me any concern.
According to the app only 1 battery at a time is discharging.
I put a 5amp load on the system and 1 battery showed it had a 5amp load on it and the other battery showed no load on it.
I would have expected both batteries to have shown about a 2.5amp load on each ?
Well, I'm in the process of doing the first charge on my new Fogstar Drift Pro 300Ah.

This is being done with an el-cheapo Amazon 10A battery charger (with a Li profile) so I wasn't expecting it to charge quickly!

It's been doing odd things such as only charging at a max 4.8A which is annoying but I'm not in a hurry so....

At some point it went right down to 2.3A for a few hours.

It then stops occasionally because it thinks the battery is full (it's not) and then I simply disconnect, reconnect and we're back on our way at a little over 4A.

I suspect this is due to the BMS and the cheap charger fighting with each other and I'm not overly fussed as charge is going in and it's getting there (slowly).

However the Fogstar app has also been flaking out on me. Did a search online and guess what? The first hit was this thread on this forum!

The app sometimes sees the battery, but won't let me flick the toggle for it on in the app. Three or four tries later it might let me in for a bit.

It does like to 'disconnect' quite frequently and sometimes tells me it's disconnecting as I'm flicking the toggle on so it takes me to the main page but doesn't show me any of the data.

I'm hoping this is because it's in this troubled first charge phase and not because the battery is faulty in some way.

Anyone else experienced anything similar?

The app itself, responds to as good as the bluetooth is in the bms.
It has no bearing on first charge, or what is charging it.

Doesn't bother me too much as I'll be monitoring everything from my Victron Smart Shunt once it's all properly installed but it's been pretty shockingly poor so far.

Might be a conversation to have with Fogstar then because if this isn't typical then it sounds like something might not be working as it should.

How old is your phone and what version of Bluetooth is it running? In my case with a fogstar drift 230ah fitted in June last year the battery was at about 30% SOC when installed and the app worked flawlessly straight away and continues to work as it should, it runs on both my Samsung S9 and my Samsung tab S5E. How far away are you from the battery and is it in a place that might interfere with a Bluetooth signal?

Edit: on the first page of the app where it lists all the Bluetooth devices you can toggle autoconnect on against the battery, maybe that will help?

Since you have the pro version, have you plugged it in to a cerbo GX/RaspberryPi. Victron will take a load of data from the fogstar BMS, and might not be as flakey as the fogstar bluetooth ?

iPhone 15, so not the latest by should be recent enough to be relevant.

No significant interference. It's charing in my home office and I can access a variety of bluetooth devices there from the living room downstairs (open plan, no microwaves or inverter welders in the way...)

Even if I'm stood directly above it the behaviour is the same.

Starting to sound like a fault...

Not yet. I will be running VenusOs on a Pi in the final install so will try that further down the line.

For now the mission is to squeeze a few electrons into it and see where we go from there.

Poor old charger will be gasping for air by the time that's full!

Suspect thats why the output goes up and down a bit!

It'll get there in the end......

Be pleased to see how you get on with the batts - on my shortlist as well.

Another Samsung user here who found it a plug and play. It'll even pick up on the phone from the back garden. I pushed out the boat and got the 40A Fogstar charger as well, and that soon banged some amps into the battery that arrived with about 30% charge. I've left it at 55% for now, but tested my new 2kw inverter on it, boiling a kettle and running SWMBO hair dryer easily at the same time,no protest from the battery, but probably best avoided going forward.

I have two Fogstar battery fitted them last always worked never a problem. I suspect it's the age of your phone.

As for the charge rate the Lithium will be sucking that charger dry and it's probably overheating.

The phone's just over two years old!

Charge rate - overheating? Meh, maybe.

I had it charge 3 x 100Ah LiTime batteries which is nominally the same and it did so without any drama at around 8A

I'm starting to think I've bought a lemon.....

Never had a problem with iPhone bluetooth. I have the same as you 15 and can pick up 3 JK bms'es from next door through the wall.
I can pick the victron solar charger as well, that's even further away. I don't think it's your phone, weak bluetooth on the bms.

My mistake I read it as iPhone 5
