Plus another A400 going east over Italy

Yanks patrolling up north as well.
There's something about the various USAF & RAF Beechcraft variants that makes them look mean, even though they're simply sensor platforms (I think). Reminds me of a porcupine...

I wonder what the range of their sensors are, 300 miles plus I would have thought !

Maybe not quite that far as they don't fly that high - only 27,000 ft whereas a Global Hawk is 50-60,000 and can see roughly 280 miles.

This lady has been pulling together maps each day showing all the NATO surveillance flights. The Beechcraft range is just visible as orange in the top right, looks like they can peek a fair way into Belarus and Russia.
(sorry if I'm not supposed to link to twatter)

Ukrainian Antonov AN124 over Romania. Looks like to took off from US staging base near Constanta.

A lot of invisible somethings being refuelled today by 2 tankers over Romania. Seems like a hell of a lot of gas for just a few aircraft like the RAF Typhoons or US F16s that have been up that way recently. Perhaps a flight of something else, like US Navy F/A18s from USS Harry Truman in the Adriatic have been getting involved?

There’s been something heavy flying over Gloucestershire the past 3 or 4 days early doors.

The Ukrainians are running out of munitions. Apparently they had around 10 days supply.

It will take a lot of flights to resupply the scale of this.

I am now watching this information constantly, there are some very knowledgeable clever people on this site and am really impressed with what they are able to do !!!!!!!!!! thanks..... wish I understood a lot more !!

Would the Ukrainians not be using what’s left behind in the abandoned Russian vehicles.

Do you think Poland would be supplying short term or holding back incase Russia continues on.

Maybe the B52s? Also I think U2s have been flying out of Fairford almost daily, but not sure whether they're noisy.

I’ve not checked but these are very loud to what we normally hear.

Who knows, I am sure they will use whatever they can and take supplies from anyone willing to give it.

A dire situation for people who a few weeks ago were living normal lives.

It’s still at it now - 175ft wtf. I would have thought supply or personnel drop would need to be higher, but who knows. Maybe they’re giving a lift to some really brave Royal Marines or SBS.

Looking at the playback on FR24, I wonder whether it’s practising tactical landings? Over the course of 3 mins went from 10,000ft to 175. Maybe considered safer to practise over the sea?

Digging around, seems I was mistaken and apparently the A400 can do low level parachute drops at 150ft. Somewhat nervous that the situation has got so bad they feel they need to practise

The other possibility is practising combat approaches

Q please : do they refuel the unmanned drones mid air ?

or is that a step too far
