Finally given in and now SORN

Might leave mine until May, the April rush will have quitened down by then, and I can get the MOT done as it’s a 100 mile round trip don’t fancy trying to explain that to Mr Plod

Sorn is a mugs game I’ve never don’t it or intend to do it unless the vans 100% non road worthy.

Plus I can use her tomorrow cos us lucky Welsh lot are allowed out lol.
So can I and the money I did not pay out for having it parked on the drive has just filled the fuel so the next few days travelling are free. Load's of mugs on here have their vans SORN, all of whom you have been happy to ask advice and help from

I used to think that. In this day n age it take bout 5 mins to re tax on tinternet. The amount of money i have left in the DVLA coffers through NOT SORNing embarrasses me.

More likely to be plated at 3850Kgs Bob. They can do it if their ramps have the weight capacity, and the height clearance.

Due to the weight and length, I have to take ours (as I did the previous MH), to an MOT Station with a pit. The one on our doorstep is undergoing a revamp to renew his licence. If he has not completed in time, I'll have to go to the DVSA Testing Station at either P/boro or Boston........................if I can get an appointment.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I am lucky where I get the car MOT'd cant do it as Van is too high. but five minutes, there is a local garage that does vans, campers and smaller /little larger vehicles if that makes sense. no buses or trucks.

Have you tried Peterborough Motorhomes (Hollis Autotech) at Frognall?

They used to be Hollis & Brown, again, right on my doorstep. Neil uses the same MOT Station for his customers as I do, ie, MC Motors, Maxey, who are undergoing the revamp, but thanks for the suggestion. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Why not ring one or two of the hire places or other business who have larger vehicles and see where they have theirs done as the same place will likely be able to do your MH too (class 4).

As JockandRita says it depends on their ramp & licence. The local commercial centre I have mine serviced at don't have a licence for MOT's on the pit only for the ramp which is 3500kg.

Decided to sell mine, Brexit & Covid has changed the world! Europe is off the cards now & the uk is not the same!
