How long do the illegals have to queue for before being ushered to their luxury accommodation ?

Is that your idea of a luxury - a basic low star hotel. Each to their own i suppose.

It is the "back door ID card " bit that people will not like; which is what I was pointing out

Fortunately neither of those apply to me as a non resident citizen holding a spanish id card.

ID cards would make life so much simpler. We have to use ID for so many things anyway and therefore need a driving licence or Passport. Don't understand the law abiding citizen objections.

Really? - can you link me to info on that? All I can find is that it has been postponed with no new date set.
