Filling a LPG Tank in Uk and France

The attended service in Spain is very good. I'm always a bit worried that they might put the wrong fuel or the wrong hole. Haven't so far though.

However, I do know of at least one station near Rota (Cadiz) that have yet another adaptor.
Was it one of these?

Big coarse external thread, called ACME type. Used in US, Ireland and maybe northern Europe. In Europe I've only ever seen it at the Capellen filling station in Luxemburg. There's a big US base at Rota.
but what concerned me the most, the squirt of gas vapor from the van was a blast when I released the nozzle and removed it! Perhaps I removed it too quickly?
The burst of gas as you disconnect is just something you will get used to. I worked with Liquid Nitrogen so I'm not fazed by it, but it certainly gets your attention the first few times.

On a hot day if the main LPG storage tank has long pipes, it can take a minute or two of pumping before the liquid gas comes through. It seems like ages if it's never happened to you before.

I cannot immediately recognise the fitting in Rota Spain, it looked like the good Spanish fitting (the one with no blow back when you release the nozzle) but was open straight through and attached to my bayonet fitting. None of mine (3) would fit their connection.

This link has what I've found to have the most useful "how to" videos.

And they are also excellent gas installers.
