Fiat Ducato 2018 - Dashboard panel & ignition - died upon starting (12 Viewers)

Hi all. I'd been overseas 3 months. returned to my motorhome. starter battery low voltage/flat. all good i thought, i'd jump it and charge battery on a run via the alternator. (everything was normal at this time - dashboard lights all working/ignition clicking the solenoid )

BUT - while flicking the ignition multiple times in quick succession during the jump - all electrical power to the dashboard and ignition cut / died. no solenoid click either.

When i jump directly via a portable powerpack, dashboard lights come on - (but no memory of date or time, just reset to day 1.) ignition starts and engine runs - and motorhome is drivable. but upon disconnecting the powerpack and turning off the running engine via the ignition , All goes dead once again. The starter battery is fully charged now but that doesn't help right now while the dashboard & ignition are dead.

I checked ignition and dashboard fuses - all seem aok.

anyone have ideas what it might be? could it be a 'relay'? are there inline fuses behind the dashboard - that can affect ignition?

Have you checked the main fuses on the battery? These ones.

I'm not convinced that your starter battery is not goosed after being flat for months.
It may look as it's got a charge, but put a meter across the terminals and then seen what the voltage is when you turn the ignition on.
