We ordered a new Ducato based campervan August 2021 for delivery March 2022 then the delivery date was pushed back to September 2022 then again to March / April 2023. After visiting the Motorhome show in Birmingham yesterday doubts were cast even on that date for delivery .
Is there anyone else in a similar situation ?

Ours was ordered Sept 21 for March then May then Sept I rang them the end of Aug and they said Burstner had to go away and come back with realistic dates based on current supply not just pick the out of the air
They said ours will be built mid November for delivery December
We shall see though I’ve seen 23 models advertised so can’t be far off 🤷🏻‍♂️
UnfortunatelyI don't think the fact they are advertising 23 models to have any relevance on delivery dates for 22 models

I think I got lucky with the Fiat supply chain. Ordered in Feb at the NEC, promised for a late June delivery, but then the motorhome was manufactured in July and delivered in September, I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess!

Surely they finish the 22 model orders before making 23 model 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not new van related but it looks like they have serious issues. Our van broke down in France in May. Its been in our local garage now for 9 weeks. They have no idea when the gearbox part will be delivered. We have been off the road for 5 months now. Really p'd off. We have a £100,000 Carthago, 18 months old, just over 10,000 miles and we ar3 going nowhere.
That's a right pain.
Is it manual or Auto?

I think Servel are struggling with orders of all models.
I don't think right hand drive models are at the top of their list.
I think that they may also be e struggling for auto gearboxes now they have increased the Euro of 6 engine's HP.
One of the dealers I spoke to in Germany (either Carthago or Dethleffs) I forget which, claimed that steering assemblies had been manufactured in Ukraine and all deliveries had stopped?

We spoke to a chap on the Knaus stand yesterday at the NEC. They did not have any A Class motorhomes on display as they have none left. He said if you order now it will be for a 2024 build slot.

I can't see many ordering that far ahead particularly with no price guarantee!

Our UK dealer (southdowns) also told me this a week ago. Not had any evidence to confirm this though.

Auto - the comformatic gearbox
Always the Comfomatics they can't sort you would think they could by now they have been making them for 15 years.
Surprised it was a comfofmatic at only 18 months old I thought it would have been a 9 speed.

We are on our second van with a Comfomatic so far so good, have a 9 speed on order.

They're only advertising 2023 models, probably not actually making 'em yet - anyway '2023' could for delivery 12 months away (if you're lucky and the supply chain problems don't worsen).

Yes. Ours was probably the end of the line. We bought a show van which had been on display for a year or so. That's how we got a big discount. Not complaining about Carthago, fantastic van, am complaining about thr Fiat aspect.

At Dusseldorf then Adria had a MAN based PVC concept for the Twin Supreme, so prob not switching this to the Merc Sprinter. Anyone who's been to NEC know if this concept van for Adria is there? Peter Vaughan at MMM has the MAN chassis as his favourite for conversion.

Be interesting if Adria switched to MAN and if current orders which were priced on a Fiat become a lot more expensive as think MAN based PVC's are more expensive.
My MAN van took 10 months for a bare van and as far as I am aware waiting times are longer now ⚠️

We have one, I think I would take it to a gearbox specialist rather than Fiat if I had a problem 🤔

Nope I've seen dealers advertising 2023 model years that are in stock
I think you will find if you call them that is unlikely to be the case. I ordered a new van at the NEC in Feb with Wokingham for delivery March 2023 - update at this show from them is that 2021 ordered vans are looking good for March 2023 (😃 from Adrian but when he realised ours was Feb 2022 ordered van his face dropped) - I’m looking towards the end of 2023 …… :cautious:

Dave7, Your dates virtually mirror those I've been given. Ordered Sept 21 for delivery March 22, then July, then October now the latest is Jan 23. What spec have you ordered?

Surely they should finish outstanding orders before new ones of the same make and model of course

I never said it would
We are talking two different things

that will not stop them from advertising and accepting new sales orders.
I have no idea actually what model year my Rapido Dreamer PVC technically is. Ordered August 21 on the new Ducato Series 8 Heavy Chassis for original delivery April 22 now confirmed built October 22 and awaiting shipping which I could push to Jan 23 for registering and collecting!
I am assuming its a 22MY with the extras as per the 23MY brochure. It matters little as it has appreciated in value quite nicely and just need to take possession.

my point not very well made was related to a these two comments :-

that taking new orders and advertising will not stop because there is a backlog of vehicles for delivery. but my point matters not really.

Do these delays also apply to Peugeot, Citroën PVCs?
From what I have gleaned on the threads on this Forum the Fiats are suffering more delays as they are the only engines that mate to the new ZF auto box coupled with an enormous order placed by Amazon. Manuals will have the Peugeot engine so delayed less from what I can see.

Thanks. Just ordered a 2023 Boxer based pvc ( manual) at the NEC last week. Delivery promised for May 23. Holding my breath 🤣

Agreed and that is happening.I've seen suggestion at least that 2023 models are in stock and I think it was Wingnamm? at the NEC advertising 2023 in stock for delivery

Ordered Adria Twin July 22 for April 23 delivery, told this week it will now be Feb 24 at best. I was expecting some delay never really believed the April 23 date but to be pushed out almost a whole year is really annoying.
