Favourite tool/device?

Best tool I bought lately is some second hand 10" stilsons. Should have bought some 40 years ago, great for those siezed nuts i've always struggled with before.

Anything DeWalt … I just love yellow stuff!

Parkside soldering station from Lidl now that I've found a supplier for replacement tips. Its a German company but they're very reasonable with delivery charge and quick too. I couldn't find anyone in UK supplying the screw in tips and was using a decades old iron which can now go back in the cupboard for a few more decades.

Lawnflyte 8 tonne vertical log splitter we bought last week. Awesome piece of kit. Goes through massive logs like butter.
Bosch glue gun PKP 18e extra long nozzle!

Yes, locking. Bought in uk also and that was locking.
I thought the blade had to be a certain size to make it a naughty knife?

I’m the same with Snap-on stuff. But not the newer stuff. Had quite a few fail. Shame.

Would love a decent set of wood chisels, but you just can’t buy them now apparently.

Best tool I ever used was when I was at sea, it was a planimeter and was used to work out the power produced from each main engine cylinder by measuring the area of the power card taken from the cylinder indicator cocks

My 2" long pocket Swiss knife. Goes with me everywhere. Knife, screwdriver, nail file (or just "file"), nail scissors, toothpick, & tweezers. All for just £15. Best value ever.

At work we have always used a bosch angle finder for setting end plates on to steel rafters. They need to be pretty precise.

A while back bosch tweeked the design and now I hate using it. It rocks about and there's certain bits of it that will catch and produce a false reading.

Bought this on amazon and I love it.

Perfect for the job and much more accurate than I thought it would be.

£12 or so makes it the best thing in my tool bag by far.

What's yours?
shed builders like us this as well 😎

A reciprocating saw.

But I am too scared to use it.

This little screw driver has had so much abuse over the years
Probably my favourite cordless tool

BOSCH IXO BASIC 3.6V 1 X 1.5AH LI-ION CORDLESS SCREWDRIVER

Olight flash sale on for 1 more day.
The perun mini 2 replaces the H1r and has longer battery life, slightly brighter, red mode and battery level indicator.
I know you're all tight sods but these torches really are worth the price. I love the magnetic charger connection 👌
Ordered a green one in neutral white (NW)

Another favourite of mine... Homemade beam turner.

Means I can flip and turn big old beams with ease. The key is to get the head welded on to the shaft at the right angle to give you maximum leverage. Also good for separating out the beams after they have been delivered all interlocked together. Pretty good as an air guitar as well when a good tune comes on the radio.

Looks like it has also doubled up as a huge paint stirrer for red oxide too ?

Our Karcher window vac, honestly if you are in a van in the colder months as we are it’s invaluable, so satisfying to use!
