If it were me. I would scrap inheritance tax altogether on fixed assets.
I would charge income tax on any cash or investment. Then charge income tax whenever an inherited asset was sold as if it was regular income.

What a nightmare that would be keeping track of all inherited things and charging tax as they were sold how could that practically be done? What would count as an investment commercial property, land, whisky, classic cars, shares, it would be a dogs dinner like vat is now

Self assessment and bank accounts would be sufficient. Not declaring would a criminal offence and the fines should be set at 200% of the tax that should have been paid.

Could the land registry keep track of the tax due if sold, you could also make it cumulative, if the tax is 20%, the second time its inherited, the tax burden would go up by 20% of 80%, from 20% to 36% and so on...

I still say that billionaires should not exsist in any form as its impossible to gather that amount of wealth without exploitation of others.

As was pointed out on a channel last night billionaires court billionaires. They have no affinity with there own country population,only with billionaires from all other countries.

I agree it's the supermarkets that need sorting out as they're making billions in profits overcharging us and underpaying suppliers.

But then smaller shops all want to be bigger shops so they're not better.


Everyone wants to get rich quick nowadays , no one seems happy to just make a comfortable living.
