Well, it's another night in the quest for us solos after our 2nd night failing to see any entertainment. We thought last night's lack of draught lager etc was teething problems and expected the bar to be fully stocked tonight. However just incase it wasn't we took a couple of drinks with us. The gestapo searched us and wanted to confiscate our booze even though they admitted they still didn't have any lager! One repeated 3 times that they had beer. We don't drink beer, we drink lager! Oh well, we won't be back.

Yes they don’t seem to have much but we met Neil who said they have lager now. The band aren’t bad at all, just a pity you can’t bring your own drink in if it’s not sold at the bar.

Edit: Apparently not real lager so the choices at the bar are beer or beer

What brewery. . The band announced an apology about the lack of alcohol and only having beer, I didn’t quite pick it up but it sounded as if he was saying they didn’t have a licence, but that can’t have been right if they are selling beer. If they do have a licence you’d have thought they would’ve gone to cash n carry or at least a supermarket for some stock today.

You wouldn’t have had to move if we had been given a sizeable area to begin with. Just ridiculous to expect 20 odd vans to fit on our plot giving the 10x8 áreas quoted on website and leaving a route for anyone to get on and off. Had a look at the sizes of 2 of the other areas yesterday in between showers. We are the blue dot.

Weather forecast for Hawick tomorrow looks like you will get lots of rain - hopefully not enough to test the flood defences!


Of course when you get to Drax the sun will shine, as it always does in Yorkshire!

Good ABBA show yesterday evening, but do not understand why the Bar closed at 9.00 p.m. Seems we have gone back to the licensing hours we used to have in Scotland with pubs closed on Sundays etc???
