Read quite a few posts about people seriously considering these. If anyone could give me some feedback on what they think of them I'd be most grateful. I'm reluctant to go down the Michelin route having read more negative views than positive, I guess other option might be the Continental Van Contact 4Season.

I’ve set my new Falken EuroAllSeason’s to the pressures recommended on the chart for my weights and they “look” right.
When I did this with my Continental 4season’s they always looked under inflated.

I am hoping for a “smoother” ride than the Contis, I can’t afford to have any more fillings shaken out on bad roads.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, as have others been, including Martin the previous owner of our MH, who had the tyres fitted on our behalf, before we took ownership.

I am due to have Falken All Season tyres fitted 225/75/R16. and want to get the optimum tyre pressure for them.

In the pressure chart attached does the “load” mean

Load per axle
Load per tyre

My max axle loads are
Front 1840 lbs
Rear. 1900 lbs

If anyone knows the correct interpretation of the chart I would be grateful.

Did you put a dealer in at the top as just filled it in and sent okay? You have to check and fill in all boxes

I have tried again and it has gone through this time. I think the first problem was caused by “rim size” entry.

For information Falken recommended running the tyres at the following pressures:-
Front 1550 kg axle load - 3•0 bar
Rear 2050 kg axle load - 4•1 bar

I've just had info back from Falken and what they are telling me seems very low, certainly way lower than those figures.

Trust yourself using their guidance and inflate them so there is a slight bulge at the bottom, not excessive like I had using Continental’s chart.
My new Falken’s are set to the pressures recommended on their chart for my axle weights, not my actual weight which is obviously a little less and I’m happy how they “look”. Just a slight bulge at the bottom.

Run mine around the pressures supplied to me and seem okay but sound advice from Hettie's crew. Every motorhome sits differently, handles differently and owner preference as well.

The guy at our local Protyre centre is a bit vague to say the least!

I need 5 new tyres due to age ( 7 years old and the spare is almost antique at 20 years old )

I have ordered Falken Euro All Season Van11. The guy altered the order after I read out the numbers and added £15 to the bill - he seemed surprised.

Have I ordered the right ones?

Yes!

I have just had four fitted to our motorhome.

Too soon to be sure how they will last but they give a much better ride than the original Continentals. Imperfections in the road are “smoothed out” although potholes still bang due to the over-firm suspension of the Ducato.

So far I am very happy with the “upgrade”.

I’ve just had today fitted these Maxxis AllSeason tyres…

Vansmart AS AL2

The Vansmart AS AL2 is an all-season van tyre with a high load rating to ensure you can get from A to B in your van, whatever the weather.

225/75/16 and obviously a better ride so far as new rubber.. changed from continentals.

We shall see how they fair….

Thank you - as far as I can see from my policy, the van only has to be roadworthy.

Does this mean that we are being duped into paying twice the price for CP rated tyres? Surely not…

I have just checked. My tyres are marked as “C” rated, suitable for light vans and Lorries up to 124 mph.

If you have an accident when you are doing 125mph on a twisty mountain road, while drunk, texting and watching a video on your TV, your insurance company may have a get out clause. Otherwise you are OK.

All the people that have the all seasons do rate them well so I wouldn’t be too worried about them.
Seen the prices from about £125 to £170 for 225 x 75 x r16, so anywhere in that ball park is ok.

Yes, mine were £150 each, fitted and balanced.

I could have got them for £145 but it involved a longer drive and a tyre company I had never used befor3.
