Read quite a few posts about people seriously considering these. If anyone could give me some feedback on what they think of them I'd be most grateful. I'm reluctant to go down the Michelin route having read more negative views than positive, I guess other option might be the Continental Van Contact 4Season.

Is that Micheldever? If so, we also had ours fitted there.
Yes - Micheldever only 15 minutes from my house so convenient.

Home now - shorty drive feels less crashy and a bit softer but plenty of grip.

As an update - I have done an about 1,000 miles on them now , with a trip to Belgium and few trips around and about.

Grip is very good - had to do an emergency stop and they actually gripped the road and allowed the brake booster to work, on the continentals that had never happened.

Hit a bit of snow and ice in Belgium and it was very surefooted with grip.

Ride is better, softer at same pressures , but maybe a bit more body roll.

For info, protyres still have the £20 off 2 Falken tyres offer on (it was due to expire end of Feb). This has been a really useful thread. My current Michelin’s are not visibly showing any deterioration but I am being cautious, due to their age, and replacing them. Falken responded to me within a few hours to confirm the load rating I needed to go for based on my axle weights, very impressive. Having them fitted next Tuesday 🤞

Had 4 fitted today, replaced the old (2018) Michelin CP's
Done 4 miles and the difference was amazing- It felt like a magic carpet !!
Cheers, Dave
I wonder if they'll last as long g as the Michelin but I'm guessing half the cost?

you also get cash back with topcashback
Yes I forgot to mention that, mine is showing as pending at the moment. I’m hoping that’s because they aren’t fitted yet and not because of the £40 off 4 tyres offer they have on. Sometimes using other offers negates the topcashback offer but fingers crossed. Every little helps.
One thing I should also mention about Protyre. Before you pay on their website it’s worth calling the garage they recommend to ensure they can actually deal with a Motorhome. The first 2 on their ‘local’ list (even after I’d gone down their van tyres option on the website) couldn’t and that would have been a wasted trip.

I got 15 miles out of the front pair of continental campers before they were worn and has bad grip in wet.

The rears and unused spare by 29k and 3.5 years old were already showing signs of cracking.

I would not buy the continentals , the van came on them and I put two new fronts on at 2 years ….

As a higher mileage camper I tend to wear out the fronts and throw the rears away due to age unless I rotate all the time.

If these Falkens don’t work out , I’ll try something else, but first impression is good.
