Abbeville, new park up for us tonight, about an hour from Calais towards Rouen, so it's on our route.

Very flat, a bit of sporadic road noise at the moment, will report back in the morning ...

Just a quick update on the park up. Traffic through the night was pretty light, didn't disturb my sleep. No boy racers or cars playing loud music. There are a handful of vehicles now arriving to park up for the day, but they seem to be considerate of the motorhomes already here, even the ducks are very quiet!
We would definitely park up here for the night again even though it's just that, overnight parking, no services etc. It's ideal if you have an early evening crossing coming over or mid morning going back as it's an hour from Calais via the toll rd/A16.

Not sure if there are any egg, chicken, cheese and chip restaurants around here though .... we had to put up with pre made butties even though there was a home made green Thai curry in the freezer with my name on it, 'WE' decided it would be better having it tonight when we get to our static!!

Had a very easy run down, two hours early for tunnel, every motorhome parking space is full, and I mean there is more than one in some ,never seen anything like it.
Havnt got an earlier train but the one we are booked on is allegedly on time

Should have gone on DFDS then - this ferry has tons of spaces!

It was busy Monday am we arrived late but got on our train ok quite a few cars waiting and a few Motorhome’s too. Friends first time on tunnel. They prefer the ferry though.

Ours cost about £290 return but was half paid for with Tesco vouchers.

We just paid for our crossing in January 23 for motorhome and car trailer and two of us £454 return the trailer cost as much as the van so divide by two
just looked a van in November £268 return

We came over on Sunday evening 7.30 absolutely dead us, 2 vans and a Range Rover stayed at Gravelines on your recommendation very nice and peaceful. Enjoy your trip.

We are on a DFDS ferry from Dover at 19:30 on Friday-to somewhere in France for 3 weeks.

Do a search for Romantic Route heading south to Bavaria. Some good stops on there, beautiful towns and good aires

On the 05:50 train on Friday. Do I travel up and stay local ish Canterbury P&R to arrive for 05:00, or do I travel at 02:30 from Pompey straight there. . Going to head for Gravlines 2 for a snoozette then South ish towards Belgium for pet pp Sat morning.
