Looks like a good start Chas The town is almost always dead when we visit.
I just couldn't believe they could get as many people in, there were cars parked everywhere there was an inch of room.Looks like a good start Chas The town is almost always dead when we visit.
Saying that I wouldn't be surprised if it's dead tonight.I just couldn't believe they could get as many people in, there were cars parked everywhere there was an inch of room.
No but they had about ten cars all parked up separate and were giving them a right going overDid you find out what the lady meant by a 'Hit'?
Hiya you 2!!Just on the tunnel for gravelines, didn't think we would after the last trip but we are off for a few days.
The tunnel was the strangest we have ever seen. We got to the barrier and it said there would be an hour's wait, no mention of any times but as we were an hour early anyway weren't bothered.
So draws to the carpark, seriously, not another vehicle insight and blokes just waving us to keep going and thought this is alright we look like being an hour early but going through the passport place things slowed down a bit as apparently they had had a hit as the lady put it, then going round the corner to the lanes, everyone was choca but anyway we are on our way now about the time we should have been.
We are not planning on leaving gravelines, we hopefully are going to catch a free bus to Dunkirk but will see what else develops, probably a trip to Ypres one day but that's about it.Hiya you 2!!
How far will you go?
Just in case I'd be in your vicinity at some point. I might have a few appointments in Valence d'Agen. I'm looking for a house to rent in that area, and if it is while you're in France (assuming my mum doesn't need me to be back right after my appointments) I'd be delighted to meet you!
Affectueusement

That was my thinking. What a lovely gesture by the locals to put all those lights up to greet one of their own (almost) back to their second home.Same for us. Perhaps they came out in honour of Chas’ return.

No , walked round it in ten minutes.Well we have got the bus to Dunkirk and at the market, havnt been round it yet but it doesn't look half as big as gravelines.
Yes that's where we are. We were on our own but another van has just arrived, will look out for the new one.-hi Charlie
we always park on the left facing the marina which is usually fairly busy, never parked on the right.
Also we usually go in Baker Street but a new bar/pub opened just to the left across from the bank and loved it, very friendly and a lot cheaper but no food served when we were there.
Love Gravelines though and wish we’d seen the Christmas market
Enjoy your trip

Yeah we are in that bar now, we have seen it before but thought it was a bit select for us but yes it's very nice.hi Charlie

We are at bourboug market now, going to Bethune next, supposed to be something on there then back to gravelines tonight. We're on our way to Gravelines for a night, hopefully the Christmas market is on tonight.
Thanks, we are in the bar that Al n Val recommended and got the sofa seats , havnt thought about food yet,
Yeah we have relented , looked around and back in baker street now, seeing as it's the last night here I have ordered the dearest on the menu. The blonde lady being the bar was very friendly towards us when we were there in October
She and her husband made us feel very welcome and sliced up some meat, crackers and cheese for us one evening
across the road we had a chicken kebab and there was that much of it we couldn’t finish it lol.
We really do like Gravelines, it’s a great stop
Oh, that made me hungry. Looks deliciousWe went to Baker Street at lunch time but they were full so we went to Hotel Beffroi and had a wonderful meal
