I have this system on my van, around 8 months old fitted by SAP.
Quite often it says incline too steep use manual. So I do. However I have done this twice now where 1 of the jacks has not been touching the ground. Also when on auto the van is not level.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thought I would ask here but will give them a call to what’s up
Cheers Keith

No need to lube with jacks down - seals will clean off on retraction. Annual service not required but usage will influence. Use it or lose it.
If no loss in function, what's to go wrong? Simple hydraulics except for the circuit board 🤔?
The explanation from E&P was the Wurth lubricant helps keep the seals supple. The lubricant is applied as the ram slides past the seal. I’m no hydraulics expert but trust E&P are. Wurth spray was part of the Morelo Meet goodie bag for exactly that reason.

Has anyone got another system that does level properly. TESA was mentioned as one which works well.
I have the Al-KO system, only had it done in Feb, only a few test runs but on both Auto and manual it seems to do its stuff.

I'm glad I only changed the front ones Jock (y) that's not why I didn't do the rears though, honest
The fronts have been replaced again Martin, but I'm really struggling to replace the rears, which I have had for a few months now. No one seems to want the work, and my l9ng termechanic pal is no longer fit enough these days. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :(

Have you noticed any difference changing the front? Did you go Marquart? Missing your old spanner man for sure, hopefully you find another.

Regards one Jack not touching the ground. We have suffered this for about 5 or 6 years and after mentioning to SAP gave up asking.

With another problem we visited Courtside Conversions yesterday and mentioned the lazy Jack. Ian there fixed it in minutes, and now all four jacks touch the ground every time. Top marks to Courtside, they certainly know how to set up both the VB and E&P systems.

It isn't to do with SAP. Our E&P system was fitted by Rosmia, who did a superb job, and we have the 'can't auto-level' notification occasionally. The vast majority of times it levels absolutely fine, but I would say one in ten I have to do it manually if we're on a fair slope.

What I would say is often what appears to be a "level" pitch is anything but, with manual operation actually resulting in one or the other legs being extended quite a way, and certainly far more than I would have imagined. These are the only times I have found the automatic being unavailable.

I certainly wouldn't do without it now.

If unlevel on auto it needs resetting.
SAP can talk you through it

Have had systems from Rosmia and SAP - both seemed very thorough/neat installs, and both have been very helpful when asked about different suspension upgrades etc. Would use Rosmia by default simply because we live closer to them, but the current van was installed by SAP since the van dealership was closer. There has been a warranty issue on that system (juddering when lowered despite silicone spray and smaller valves fitted), the Pump and all the pipework and rams are about to be replaced under E&P warranty. SAP have been efficient in handling the claim, as have E&P - doubt it would be any different if it had been Rosmia.

Knowing that E&P are fair, and thorough, because I think their solution is over the top, and that SAP/Rosmia are good guys would probably mean I would get E&P again, though tempted by others (would really like the van weight display).

We do use manual, because generally I can get the van level using less height, but if its very close when we pull in to the pitch, then I'll use auto. Sometimes if I remember, I let the air suspension down, I'd like it if that was automatic, but not sure if the standard Iveco rear air can be integrated. Pretty sure the VB front semi can.

The shower does drain a little better with a slight lean to the right, but I hadn't though of resetting the level calibration - Might give that a whirl.

The previous van was a bit nose down on a flat surface, I think the calibration was set to dead level though, so if the pitch sloped down in the same direction I guess the unit saw more of an incline and we had to use the manual button.

The current van is almost level on a flat surface (I might just tweak the torsion bars a tad more than SAP already have). It seems happier to use auto, but I tend to default to manual.

I believe you are right that the E&P can't drop the air from the IVECO rear system as it can only talk to VB, we had VB front semi air on the Flair but not aware that the E&P can talk to that either as our control were just manual (yours might be different)

Yes manual valves, should have been obvious! Oh well....
