When you arrive just tell them at the gate that you are with Motorhomefun (Steve Ashby) tell them your name and they will cross you off there list:Smile:

Hi Ash

sorry if this has been posted previously, but what time does it start on Friday .. what's the earliest time we can arrive on site ?

Cheers

Jim

Yes we need to devise a parking plan that will give us maximum cover because it does not look like we have the number of gazebos that we need.

There are 13 RV's going so I think we are going to have to devise some plan to get them close together (ish) with their awnings out. This does all depend of course on the plan of the field with the hook ups so as Ash says there is no problem with anyone coming early but we may have to re-arrange you. The weather sounds like rain for Friday and Sunday so hopefully Saturday may not be too bad but we have to be prepared for it just in case.

Bear with us on this, IT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO BE A GOOD WEEKEND - RAIN OR NO RAIN

Hi Pammy and Ash

When considering the plan, we do not have a RV, but can you be aware that we may be leaving at 6am on Sunday morning, and/or we might have a trailer with us with the motorbike on, so that if I decide to stay on Sunday, Neil can go to work on the motorbike.

The size combined is 10.5 metres long.

Sorry we dont have a gazebo, we did have a drive away awning, but I broke one of the legs last time I used it.

I am sure we will have a good time no matter what the weather, but I know it can be an added stress when you are trying to organise a gathering outside.
Good Luck, and chill

13 RVs ummmmm 7 each side awning touching, and one on the end:thumb: At least Ray will feel at home,it will look like a Moroccan Souk:Rofl1::Rofl1:

From google Earth i can only see proper laid out pitches, so yes it all depends on site layout, what we do, dont worry about leaving early, if it looks like anyone is getting blocked in just shout up we can always jiggle things about:thumb:

Sorry, we don't have a gazeebo .. just the 20 ft awning :thumb:

Hi Pam/Ash

We will be arriving sometime on Friday evening. Depends how early Kevin can get away from work. We have checked with Billing and it seems you can arrive or leave at any time as they have a 24hour manned gate. We have something for the raffle as well. See you there - Wellies and all.

Hi Pammy/Geo

"………….13 RVs ummmmm 7 each side awning touching, and one on the end At least Ray will feel at home,it will look like a Moroccan Souk ………….”

13 RV’s on a tour………..I can only think of one thing worse than that……..14……….. [A Joke].

Preparing to leave sunny Spain at the moment and to drag myself away from playing on the new toy before we ship it to Morocco……..A BIG quad…….

I have a load of running around to do but I plan to be there from mid-day Saturday ‘till late’ish……....

I hear there is a Raffle/Auction thing happening………..I will bring a new Garman XTrax GPS to put up……..compliments of Desert Detours.

We decided to get here early and make it a longer weekend!!
We are on heron way, where we were directed (for m/home fun)
There are 2 taps on this area that we have seen, another close by that we used to top up the tank before parking. There is plenty of room, easy to get at. BUT, we would advise you to bring wellies (don't clean your carpets before you come!!!!!)
Plenty of hookup points, all down the centre of the field
We have seen motorhomes on wet grass before, we believe that unless we get a hot night and no more rain . there are going to be "a few problems" on the grass.
At the moment it looks like the best option is to stay on the road on either side, there are a few (small) hardstandings.

t's great to see such a turn out for the birthday bash, a good mix of motorhomes. A great evening enjoying each others company last night.

Today we have not left the truck camper, it's it's been very cosy cooking enough apple crumble for the party tonight. A bigger oven would have been nice but hey ho! It should be ready on time.

It's not been a bad day weatherwise and we hope it keeps that way for the rest of the evening. We'll still have a good evening anyway.

Considering the condition of the ground on the majority of the campsite, Ash did a great job in insisting on getting us a drier area which we are all truly grateful for.

Safe back at our CL, thanks to Pammy and Ash for a smashing weekend, weather can never dampen the spirits of the funsters.. :thumb:

Hello everyone,

Just to say a big thank you to Ash and Pammy for organizing a grand birthday bash.
The Fireworks were great, we had a fantastic view from where we were.

Even though the rain started to pour down last night it didnt damper the funsters.

I like to say thank you to the gentlemen who helped me of the site, I even managed it with my handbrake on, not bad considering I had never really driven the motorhome before. whats my excuse going to be now for not driving it.

Only a couple of us left now and I will have to wait until 5pm when Neil get back from work to leave.

Anyhow hope everyone has a safe journey home, and catch you later!!

Kind regards

Pat and Neil

Hi

Well what a great weekend we had considering the wet weather and soggy ground ,(worrying at first when we arrived but we managed to sort it in the end,)
Thanks to everyone who attended and made Pammy and my birthday a good one :thumb:
Thanks to everyone who helped with the cooking .. and all raffle prizes ...:thumb:
Thanks to Mark (C L S ) for going round with 2 blackout cards raising £45 for our charity :thumb:
Not sure how much we made on raffle we gave all money to Pammy in which she will count up later and let us know the grand total..

Thanks to all those who helped to make sure we all go off the field before leaving themselves :thumb::thumb:

Ash & Lynn

A big thank you to Ash, Pammy and all the other funsters at the meet which was fun despite the weather!!! Further thanks to those community-spirited individuals who helped those of us on water-logged pitches onto terra firma :thumb:

Once I have organised the photos of the deep trenches our Adria collaped into (having been kindly ushered in by Ash! :Rofl1:) I will upload them - Billing gets loads of bad press, but the staff were really helpful in tugging us out of the drain safely with a tractor very promptly, so its not all bad there :thumb:

Safely home now, having slithered up our horrible steep slippery drive. Hope the fund raising was a success, Pammy, and that the final total is a good one - the raffle was certainly a great success!!

Well done and a big thankyou to Ash and Pammy for a great time. Even the weather can't stop funsters doing what we do best, drinking, eating and chatting.:Rofl1:
It was great to meet up with old friends and make new ones, and put faces to Avatars.

Thank you to everyone who helped push, pull and cajole the vans off the mud. Hope everyone got home safely.

Thai take away on order to finish off a great weekend.
