Does anyone weigh 75kg?

Count me in... I'm under 75kg....can I have a badge and membership card please.😀😀🇪🇦

Perfecto!! Well done indeed. I wonder if Jim will produce a few badges for the 'perfect weight examples' amongst us.

Edit: I've just given you a star for that (better than a badge).

I have been almost the same weight since my late 20's, 12 1/2 st which is 79kg being a Karate instructor for 30 years kept me pretty fit, still o have a 30" waist, my 44" chest has shrunk to 42".
Where did all those years go to?

75 kg for me, and above hight.

Me - 63 Kg, average height; SWMBO who is petite - not daring to weigh her or ask, but estimate she is at least 10Kg lighter than I am. Our estimated combined weight is about 115 Kg.

I don't know the weight of the slim Budgie who travels with us. He has lost a bit of weight since we cut back his favourite millet, and babycorn, when he looked too big for his wings and was struggling to fly. His free-flying is now excellent again.

P.S. Lenny HB - We all know that you're 75kg mate and that Hymer has used you as a benchmark model for all of its vans over the years ::bigsmile:
Nope I'm a fat old boy these days I've put on weight now 76kg:LOL:
Want to loose a few kilos but I like my food.
The boss is only 45kg .

I'm 95kgs and the wife 60kgs so if I pincher her spare 15kgs I'm down to 80kgs , I feel so much happier now

Are talking 'real' budgie or 'budgie smugglers' type budgie?

I am currently 76.2kg having lost about 3kg, hubby though is putting it on and is now 99.2kg ... he won't take any notice of what I say about his health etc but at some point he's gonna have to do something about it though as he won't be able to get his belly behind the steering wheel!

I was 80kgs for probably the last 15 years but since the start of covid I have done the square root of diddly squat of non work exercise like running or a press up (can walk up to 20 miles a night on nights) and last weigh in was 86 kgs.
On the basis the wife doesnt read this forum she is 66kgs and I am bound to suffer for posting that. Hey Ho.

We've all been reading the manufacturers MIRO figures for years now and every time we all research a van brochure the same old 75kg figure for a driver gets thrown up in the text.

Some manufacturers then quote the passenger weights as being 75kg too. That being said, I'm not sure if the '75kg' figure is taken from when a person is in the total nip or, when they have one leg carefully balanced on the floor and one on the scales before crying "yippee, I'm still 75kg".

This is only a bit of fun guys but in your opinion what should the ideal weight be these days for a 'MIRO driver and passenger' as having a McDonald's on every motorway junction has definitely helped increase the 75kg figure IMO.

I myself am 100kg clothed (and both feet on the scales) whereas in my Rugby days I was 124kg so I was not exactly a poster boy for the MoHo MIRO figures :)

Not sure about where this 'standard' weight originates in the world of vehicle's but suspect its a legacy from way back when the average person did weigh around 75kg. We had a similar issue while working offshore in that they down rated the number of people to each lifeboat as the 'average' weight of a person was deemed to have increased and so a 50 man boat could no longer 'hold' 50 men.........

Bloke. 5' 7" and 67kg right now in Chinos, Polo shirt, jumper and shoes. My weight has never varied by more than + or - 2kg since I got married 49 years ago and I'm still a 32" waist. I take the dog on two approx 2 mile walks over fields every day and have never been in a McDougalls, Waterspoons, or any other cheap/fast food burger/pizza/kebab place. I guess I'm lucky but wish I still had my denim Loons from the 60's.

Similar, but I have to have the seat as far forward as possible to get my centre of gravity in front of the front axle. This takes weight off the rear axle.

I was wondering if it’s an easy mod to move the front axle back a bit :)

I was the same weight as my OH when we married. Both are our respective average heights. 27 years of pampering has seen her weight remain constant whilst mine creeps steadily upwards. Fortunately it is still less than the prescribed allowance.
