2.02 minutes was the best time. 13 miles an hour . Quite impressive. I couldn't physically run a mile

I did my first half-marathon at age 56 in 1h 52mins. I was pissed off that the next year I did 1h 56 mins.

Left valencia this morning , once again the satnav is completely bonkers , quoted 3.06 minutes to do a 1 hour journey , kept hoping it would catch itself on while on route but nope it wants to take me out to sea then back in over land so it clearly thinks I'm a fecking aeroplane.

I had to use Google maps on my phone to get here which worked well till about 5 miles away then brought me through all the little access roads to the orange groves which wasn't fun.

Even when I get to the aire I put coordinates in for shown by red arrow the satnav quotes this

So there's clearly files missing in there or something as I can't trust the bloody thing

But anyway I'm now in simat de la valldigna, came to see the old monestary , it's changed a bit here the parking aire is half the size now and the orange groves are gone. Also the waste disposal etc has now gone sadly .

Sounds like the sat nav has either GPS signal issues or it’s brain is corrupted

Have you tried doing a reset on the unit? Try reverting back to the maps on the hard drive Tam, and see how you get on. Google maps will take you down unsuitable roads/lanes etc, as they think you are in a car.
I'm using the same maps as yourself with no bother at all. If you are in the Benidorm area from mid January onwards, I'll do them again for you, but I suspect you'll be in Morocco by then.

I think there might issues in the actual unit , it is quite old . I think it might be a 2019/20 model , most of the time it's fine but because it throws a wobbly now and then I don't fully trust it. If it's places I've been before I usually spot there's something not right but when it's a new place I'm at its mercy really. I tried deleting and re entering the coordinates several times . The weird thing is when I go back a step to check the coordinates have usually changed slightly by themselves but the final destination address etc is always the same . Im Not sure why it thinks I can go out to sea etc that's just weird .


I'll be in Morocco from early January though .

I think I may invest in a new model when I'm back in the UK .


I know Google maps isn't that great for a van my size but I'd hoped when I got close that my satnav would correct itself and take over but when it takes these weird notions it seems to stick to the route its decided and won't find alternative.... I thought it was just stubborn woman but I changed the voice to a man just to check and he's just as pigheaded lol.

Couldn't believe the amount of trash lying around this morning too ...nearly every bench littered with bottles etc ...and the bins at every bench were nearly empty I will never understand this mindset, right next to the water too so half the trash is going in the sea

Dogs don’t catch human colds or human flu. They do get canine colds and flu…..but you will not.
Common sense treatment ie not too much vigorous excercise,warm their food, keep hydrated.
