Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

Wow .... 62 posts and he's not over the channel yet .... or is he??
I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with this thread. I'll try but I'll be weeks behind if this number of posts is anything to go by and if the usual pictures are as good as usual.
Have a great, peaceful trip Tam and cuddles to the pups.

Just a minor point Tam....did you get Lenny to give your electrics the once over...did you get a certificate of conformity 🤭
Lenny was here in Spain a few weeks ago....he has helped me over the past couple of years on Fun....I thought it might be a good chance to meet my mentor...but unfortunately we were never in the same region...and more importantly I've lost the key to my battery compartment...Strange but True....🤔🤭

You’ve not missed much not meeting…😇 all he talks about is Motorhomes and electrics… he’s obsessed I tell ya! 🤣😘

Tam, when you put your African destination in the satnav, it's one R and two CCs. I know comments like this are against the rules, but I don't want you getting lost again :)

Always raises an eye at ferry's and customs and when you get nosey folk looking in the van

So we were first on the ferry and first off for a change.. right on time too.

Starts the van up and no fecking lights lol ...drives off up to customs... Mr Doune really scrutinised my pet passports...going through every page...torch out and everything, then he says monsuier where do you have your dogs vaccinations done. I said Spain or Greece usually ....anywhere bar the UK or France...he gives me a look... not a happy look , and then gave them back with a dismissive wave .. arrogant ass

Went to pull in to check fuse on lights and suddenly they came on 🤷‍♂️ very strange , I usually leave them on all the time but I'd switched them off this morning as I wanted maximum charge to battery . So maybe a dry switch or something. Back to leaving them on again for now.

Parked up just 15 minutes from the port , a little village called Arques- le-battaille, I've stayed here before on a previous trip , its quiet and by a small lake .. Nice bit to walk the hounds , cold and grey , and threatening to drizzle .

P.s Doc driving beautifully, no pulling ,no banging or rattles, and I can really feel a difference in performance its pulling from junctions and roundabouts really well hopefully and the hill up from the port it shot up no probs accelerating all the way. So hopefully it's the same on motorway. 🤞🤞

A joy to drive

OK I'm looking for ideas for places to visit in France.. weather looks reasonably dry .. so looking for somewhere around 2 - 2.5 hours drive...South, south/west .
Nice old village , lake, river, canal that sort of thing.

I keep getting told I don't give France a chance so ...show me what you've got.

I always aim for here Tam especially in the winter months, France has so much to give, well signposted and mountains in view with lovely blue skies, a little place called Espana

Whats not to like :LOL::LOL::LOL:
