Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

I must have inherited a fortune from that great uncle in Nigeria as they are really desperate to get hold of me 😁

It's on just now though. Cold the night

I wasn't knocking anyone, show me where I was , all I was doing was trying to help anyone that wondered why some of the places was missing.
It was a general comment about knocking other people's way of doing things, unfortunately there are some on here who can't help themselves.

How is it you always have to jump on anything I say?
You know full well that's not true! If I did I'd never be off the forum! 😄

Everyone is different, and not every motorhome or camper is on holiday.

I don't consider myself on holiday. Its my way of life , I come south in winter because it is warmer , I don't do the Samethings I'd do if I was on a package holiday somewhere.
I've never been on a package holiday but the last place I'd want to park for the night unless I really had to is at the side of a busy road, noisy town etc, we go for the warmth too not 'just' a holiday, if we could go for longer we would but are limited timewise.

A lot of the vans you see parked in towns are often people working In them who live in the van. Not all are tourists
Not most of the ones I've seen, I'm not talking about the older/cheaper type of MHs that many van lifers have (nothing wrong with them by the way), but the newer and more expensive ones who are obviously not there to work. It's pretty obvious why they park there and on speaking to some casually they freely admit it, they like the food and drink, so be it, they're welcome to it.

Lol I can't believe you put those same statements in the same post.

So on one hand you're getting annoyed at people not accepting other people's way of doing things

Then on the other you're questioning other people's way of doing things.

You're also making some mad assumptions if you think it's only people with tatty older vans that live In them fulltime and work nearby.

Like you I've spoke to many and I know many do park near their work.

I did it myself for 2 months when I first went fulltime in my frankia.

Yes many do park In city centers because they enjoy the nightlife others work in bars and clubs and live fulltime in their vans . Especially in summer season.

You’re in one of my favourite parts of France now Tam. Jealous (not!).
While you’re there check out Ceret and Collioure. Both nice places.
Fully second collioure, I know you don't like paying but there is an excellent site about a mile out, I think it was 12 euros last time we were there but it's got all facilities plus a free shuttle bus into town about every half hour.

You need to get outta bed earlier lol .
That won't happen all the time there is a Brazilian in the bed.

I was posting on my phone and it's a pain to separate the posts on there, hence why they were in the same one.

I'm not getting annoyed at all, not at people questioning stuff, what I don't like is the way it's often expressed, ie it's "my way" or "no way". I, and others, have opinions about things, but when it crosses over into obvious uncalled for criticism that's not on in my book.

You're also making some mad assumptions if you think it's only people with tatty older vans that live In them fulltime and work nearby.
No I didn't say it is ONLY people with those sorts of vans, not at all, go back and read it again, however you have to admit that the vast majority of people living in them don't own gin palaces - I'd have the older MHs any day!

Like you I've spoke to many and I know many do park near their work.
I never said some wouldn't be doing that and I can understand their reasoning, it's then no different to having a house there instead of a MH. I'm talking about those who are on holiday.

Your choice, if its what you want to do then so be it, some people would never consider 'wild camping' as they like loads of facilities where as we are more than happy with none.

My opinion, for whatever it's worth, is that WE wouldn't stop at places like that other than for an odd night if we had a genuine need to be there (eg an early vet appointment, ferry etc), we certainly would not have it as a 'main destination' for a holiday and stay for days/weeks/months.

Yes it's very strange as that was on my other phone with the lebara sim card and only 4 or 5 people have that number. I don't use the phone for anything other than back up Internet really.

It's gone now and as you well know I never take offence, whatever anyone says but in this instance, you were out of order saying I was knocking someone.
I never get at anyone personally but all I was doing was saying why people always ask how tam finds these places he stays at when they aren't on their p4n and I was just suggesting it was because they had the paid for version that filters out parkups that don't just match all their choice.
Just think of you filter out any without water it probably cuts out more than half straight away.
But if you think different that's fine.

A lot of the height barriers are left up from November until March.
Most of the carparks near the town are car sized only . That's why they're not on park4night I imagine. The ones on park4night are out of town and all paying carparks with restrictions. There's an aire by the looks of it but €20

I'm no that keen 😁
