Do you give your dog Christmas presents?

We bought our cats some fancy fish pouch food at a crazy euro price as a crimbo treat. They did not like it and prefer the standard day to day Jelly Meat. However they did enjoy watching Dr Dolittle on Netflix and we all had a chat about it after :xsurprised:
That’s Cats for you, mind of their own it’s why we love them. (y)

We had a cat in 1972, Sammy, she would only eat hard boiled eggs and boiled ham. Don't remember what happened to that cat:unsure:

Our muttly Paddy was a bit of a let down with his presents. He sat and looked at them for a while and then walked off. The Christmas dish our daughter bought him has been ignored. He won’t take treats out of it.
Today we went to her house for lunch and she brought out a doggy stocking for him. When he saw that he sat with his head on one side looking cute.

many of you seem to look down upon those of us that value our companion animals as more than mere possessions. To us, our dogs and cats are members of our family, no different to adoptive children. You don't "get" that and our love of them. We don't get your opinion that you can own another living entity with the status of a slave. All Lives Matter!

I prefer the company of dogs more than that of many people

I complained to my Mother back when I was young about how she loved the dog more than her own children, she said that the dog gives her unconditional love, does what she's told and never answers back!

A pets love is unconditional.

As the story goes, try locking the wife and the dog in the boot of the car for an hour on a cold night and then see which one is excited to see you when you open it again….…

And this is why we go into the dessert a lot, to get away from people........................

I bought my sons jack russel treats and wrapped them .he's a lovely little dog and when he visits he loves to make a fuss of us .so we are very fond of him .

No, never have in all my life.
They are dogs, they dont subscribe or benefit from commercialism. Its the owners that benefit most from dog gifts, and good luck to you if you do. Dogs are very helpful for lots of things including mental happiness and owner wellbeing..

But mine do subscribe to lots of love, excersise, happiness, walks, good healthy food in the right portions, and finally discipline and learning.

Probably the most important is the food and the discipline, the food and excersise helps them live longer and get loved longer, and so does the discipline. When they are in potential danger and come back to the owner at a shout or whistle, saves them from unforseen dangers.

The amount of FAT dogs I see because they are sooooo loved by their "parents" (owners) that give them treats all day and the nearest thing to a walk is the kitchen cupboard, it is killing many beloved dogs early,

Most of that can relate to Humans:xThumb:

I have said many times before, i like dogs, other peoples.
Now, some owners are bit questionable?

Cats too, they don't argue, they make me laugh, are a great hot water bottle, I don't worry about them if I go away, they eat rodents. Don't judge me when I talk to them. I keep asking Petie if he has a soul and he just look at me
