This year alas my shock absorbers were an advisory for a light misting of oil. I would tend to agree, they aren’t dry and are possibly leaking a little.

That’s fine, it’s 11 years old and we do 10,000 miles a year in it.

The but is this, the springs look to be the upgraded Goldschmidt ones. This leaves me wondering, as usually by the time I have got the shocks out, I would replace the top mount (which I will) and the springs.

Standard springs are about £120.

Replacement Goldschmidt are £500. 🫣

So what to do?

Cry and stump up £750 in parts, or go for standard springs and save £380?

Or even just put the old uprated ones on the new shocks and top mounts?

Old springs will still be better quality than new cheaper ones

My thoughts would be: is the ride height what you would expect? If so, replace the dampers. If not, replace the lot!

My 2015 exsis has a drooping front. Deliberating the same...

Since 2008 & many years tugging
I have a pair of Goldschmitt uprated springs sitting in my garage at home they were used for less than a year when I had air fitted.
They were from the maxi chassis front axle rating 2300kg.
Open to offers for then but can't check the part number until we get home on Nov 1st.
