Diesel prices. UK or France to fill up.

In france say €1.60 litre
In spain sat €1.15 litre
45 cents for 100 litres is €45 euro diffs on a tank full.big difference.

The OP was talking about the difference between the UK and France which is negligible if you consider supermarket prices.
I am well aware of the prices in Spain and Portugal at the moment and cross the border myself to fuel up at a known cheap location when we also do some shopping in Spain.
I have a 120l tank but on a long journey I would not let the tank get low enough to need 100l to fill although I do look for the best prices and always make sure that I have a near full tank when crossing into France, that includes when entering from the UK at the moment.

If you're going out fuel is 127,9 at /Tesco Dover, or about 3p more at the Shell and BPonthe same road strip.

Its a shade dearer for Evian ?( other brands available, but Evian pure water is better for your “engine “ than Supermarket pure water)

€145.9 at Carrefour at Cite de Europe just now so I will be filling up at Tesco’s tomorrow I think.

€1.459 = £1.24 at current exchange rates.
Might be cheaper in France. :Eeek:

Richard.
it is .I worked that out in december when it was kicking around 1,20€. Not on the toll roads obviously.

Ouch. Paid £132.9 at Tesco this morning.
So France works out cheaper at the supermarkets at the moment.

Its half way between the two ?

Diesel is cheaper in every other eu country than the uk , it's also cheaper than petrol unlike the uk where diesel is dearer than petrol.

Yet our government claims it's due to eu imposed green targets that our diesel is so expensive

I wonder who they will blame after brexshit ?
You obviously have not been to Italy.

One must remember the price quoted at the pumps in the Uk is Ltrs not gall as quoted above .That is a pity lol.

I have and it was much the same price as france
Well it was much dearer last year in Italy, I'm sure. And in Switzerland it was horrendous, so l waited till I got to Italy, where it was worse. And then i realised that the price in Switzerland was in Swiss Francs. Doh!

I've got a.5p off Tesco voucher that'll still be in date on Friday, so will fill up at Tesco Maidstone, if i have time so it should be about £1.24.

Asda Canterbury £1.20.7 today

Just paid €1.35 for diesel at our local Super U. That’s equivalent to about £1.13 -£1.14 at the current exchange rate.

Just over a week ago we filled up a Morrison’s en-route to the tunnel and topped the tank up at Carrefour Cité Europe.
Checking the conversion rate at that time the costs were exactly the same.

Richard.
Much the same here Richard around 8th January, at Morrisons Canterbury, then again at Super U, (€1.43) Pont-de-l' Arche south of Rouen, then Intermache (€1.46) at Civray south of Poitiers, which was the cheapest in that area according to our friends living there. I made it over the border to Spain, before filling up again at €1.29.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

You stated the above in a post.
What you don't say is where it is.

Is it a secret?
