Diesel £1.62

Nanniemate what app are you using?

Cheapest we can find is the Esso on the north bound A12 between Colchester and Ipswich petrol is £1.55.9 Diesel £1.74.9 ASDA were always the cheapest but noticing they are not anymore, we think they used to use it to get people through the door and now they are cutting food prices and making up the difference with fuel increases.
Petrol prices but have got to a station asda saying it was one price at 8am by the time I got there it had gone up 2p

I havnt checked the price this week but the cheapest diesel here is on the duel carriage way out of town. It’s in the middle of nowhere but all the traffic to and from the docks passes so I suppose they have got passing trade twenty four hours.

For me, I have decided it's PPM (pounds per month) that's more important than MPG or the price of a single litre.
I earn on a PPM basis so I spend accordingly.
Yes...my wife doesn't understand either but I smile a lot.

Diesel in Burton on trent still 1.849

ASDA were bought by 2 brothers (Issa, I think is their surname) who have a petrol forecourt business. As you say ASDA used to lead the market down and other supermarkets followed. Unfortunately its not in the Issa brothers interests for ASDA to keep the petrol prices down. The other supermarkets are happy if they can make more margin on petrol/diesel as they are struggling to maintain their food margins and to be seen as competitive vs Lidl and Aldi. Lidl and Aldi dont benefit from better margins on petrol because they dont have a petrol forecourt business. So ultimately I think for now supermarkets being way cheaper than independents is a thing of the past ... although obviously things can and will change.

BP garages round this part of the world and along the A3 to London seem steady at £1.899. Keeping my daughter in the manner to which she has become accustomed, I suppose.

Cheaper here in Tenerife and I haven't seen any oil rigs or refineries. Oh and my electricity is currently €0.21 per KWh.

Just passed Morrison's and diesel is 182.7 😕
I wonder how there can be such a difference, Whitchurch is only 20 miles away.
That's same price as our local Sainsburys..BUSBY.

let’s hope this is the start and it’s rolled out nationwide.
Yes just needs the 1 dropped off the front
Cheaper here in Tenerife and I haven't seen any oil rigs or refineries
that's because you have a 7% iva level. whereas on the peninsular here it is 21% . Even better in the Balearics, Las Palmas, at 1,27€litre
Oh and my electricity is currently €0.21 per KWh.
You need the iberdrola sin permanencia app. mines 19c

Diesel here today is aroun 1,64€ before the discount ,so around 1,44€

When we were heading south in September I was looking for fuel in Penrith and found a fuel station in the industrial estate, it a Key Fuels just for trucks. It was only £1.11 a litre. 😳

That’s cheaper than even Costco, it’s £1.66, but that’s for premium diesel.

Just been researching prices for our next #Maxines Meanders and using the phone APP Essence (French fuel APP translates to Petrol) I've found that an average price off the Autoroutes is around £1.50 (1€85) and on Geogasolineras (Spanish petrol APP)we are looking at 1€65 so even cheaper (Especially at there is still 0€10c /L reduction at the till until the end of December )

Exactly the reason that non of the mainstream garages will ever get another bean out of me. I’ve been using Costco for the last couple of years and they are routinely 20p less than the local Esso/Shell/BP garages, and about 15p less than supermarkets, and selling a better product….premium diesel.

Its £1.75 here in the middle of the Irish sea so someone is making a profit over there.

Milder that average start to winter = fuel oil stocks are replenishing = diesel prices gone down:unsure:

It’ll be cheap by the summer….

Forgive me if I'm wrong but to get the Costco prices don't you have to be a member and pay an annual fee of £33.60 or more.
This afternoon I filled up with Diesel 5 miles from Ludlow in Shropshire at 162.9p per litre - cheaper and no annual fee!
