It's been mentioned to me on more than one occasion that it might be a good idea to have an Auto Defib Machine especially at our bigger rallies. And I'm thinking about fundraising for one, maybe two. Raffles Auctions, donations etc.

When it comes to rallies our, average age is well below many other clubs (unless Mo turns up) But I still think it might be a good idea. What do you guys think about our rally Marshals having our own De-Fib's?

Anything that saves lives is a good idea
I will definitely make a donation

Sounds like a plan.

Out of interest do the Government help out financially or any other ways as they seem to be putting lots in village telephone boxes.

I would say a big yes. If you think of the location of the rallies and the time it would take for an ambulance to arrive then it makes sense.

Not sure if you would qualify for a grant from British Heart Foundation but it might be worth an enquiry.
Have used one in earnest and they do work - as well as good Basic Life Support.

I cannot think of a reason not to have one.
We will be happy to contribute to the purchase of one,
Brisey & Pamelarrr,

Good idea & we'll happily contribute.

Yes a great idea, I believe that some funsters do carry one as they are quite cheap now.

It's a great idea, I am happy to contribute and I reckon there is an opportunity to get a grant in support of this.

Excellent idea!
Can only be a benefit..............Besides, folk will still have the option of feigning sudden food poisoning in order to leave and avoid Old Mo's jokes.

(Maybe also nationwide contact details for Alcoholics Anonymous ;)).

Great idea.

Is there any training and stuff required for insurance purposes?

Great idea! We will contribute and perhaps at each rally when funds are raised for charities some could go towards one .:h:

Great idea.....they are easy to use and ‘tell you what to do’

Yes an excellent idea ! (y)

No good at some rallies as they are not to be used near water, at chester the whole site could have been shocked, however if it could save a life, then happy to contribute.

Brilliant idea, and don't believe that being younger than some of us can save one from a heart attack. Young, fit and healthy, your a prime candidate. Ps I'm in the process of trying to obtain one for our bowling club, any info I get, I'll pass it on. It appears that most ambulance county centres can arrange free training.

I agree (y) What a good idea and would certainly be happy to contribute to the fund. :)

As someone who has used a defib on many occasions I'd heartily (see wot I did there?) recommend having one at rallies. :D
Why shouldn't the funsters have a giggle while one of us does a starfish impersonation lol.
Enough of my frivolity, we'd certainly chip in on funds for a defib. (y)

I’ll start the ball rolling .... I pledge £10 just let me know where to send it..

Good idea. We don’t have one at Shepton, but if need arises we will use Jump Leads

Don’t worry Paul .... I’ll give ya the kiss of life..:h::tounge:
I was tempted to say I’d rather peg it but I won’t but promise no tongues ok!
