Dealer leaves us in the lurch

Wow what a terrible possition to be in, i thought i had a struggle with brownhills but reading this they were not too bad.

Me personally i would not even entertain thinking about buying from lowdhams threads like this will destroy them and quite rightly so, there service mamager deserves the sack just terrible customer service

Shame on you lowdhams

It uses an acrylic glue I see. How hard will that be to clean off after x months, compared to a small bead of silicon.

Also I'm wondering if a small bead of silicon will provide a permanent fix for the problem rather than removing the bike rack and resealing it.

Thanks.
I think it's the type of glue that WD40 removes, but not 100% sure. When I used it on the garage roof it was only for a week so it left no sign of glue.

There is no way that silicon will make a permanent repair. It may be ok temporarily if you can get the surfaces clean, but it won't stick for long.

The repairer will subsequently be able to remove all traces with a silicon remover - if they can be bothered!
