Cracked windscreen in spain

Amazon product ASIN B0001P0DK6 if you could get something like this, tape the glass just outside the crack cover the screen below the crack in case it runs down. Gently apply during the coolest part of the day when set carefully scrape off any excess, this will stop any damage to the wiper blades did this to a very old Winnebago about four years ago and it is still holding.

I hope this makes sense.
Put a black line where the crack stops. With a felt pen. .Then while your driving ,you would be able to see
if the crack is increasing.

We have moved further up the the coast to Tossa de Mar.
Spanish autoglass do not do A class windscreens.
I will speak to nfu tomorrow.
I think it's going to be done in either France or Germany.

They wouldn’t our flair we went back to niessmann they did it 3000 euro i rang travel world £4500 pound .niessmann wouldn’t wait for the insurance company to pay ,had to pay and claim it back but at least it was done right

Sorry to hear of your problem and hope it gets fixed without too much drama.
Interested to know did it happen on site a something thrown up on road?

We are booked into carglass dusseldorf germany for the 26th August @ 8am takes 5 hours apparently. Hopefully it lasts till then. German efficiency is superb compared to the Spanish reactions.
As mentioned previously, if not already discussed with them, please make sure it's an OE screen fitted by Carglass and not a patterned one, otherwise as experienced ourselves on our Hymer, you may have problems with it. :(

Good luck. 👍

Jock. :)

OK that was a pointless waste of time.
They had us booked in for a windscreen repair not a replace, they don't even do our size here.
Aachen is the City that has a depot that does larger vehicles.
Awaiting a phone call to tell me when they will have a windscreen.
Currently parked up at a local shooting club in dusseldorf that is a spill over for when the salons parking is full.
We move onto the salons parking on Sunday at 4pm.
So suggestions for things to do in dusseldorf and any restaurants that you recommend.

I'm seriously unimpressed with carglass. Turned up this morning at our appointment in Jùlich and they had the wrong screen. A screen for a daily van not an a class
Case sent back to the UK who will be contacting me. Incompetent as they had all my details 6 days ago in dusseldorf.

Unfortunately German efficiency is a thing of the past as I have found out a few times☹️☹️

Just to say having experienced this situation and despite transportation delays that were inevitable excellent service was had from both Concorde and Caraglass.
Concorde shipped the Screen/Wipers/Front Bumper down to Spain to an appointed garage and Caraglass did their thing in turning up to fit the Screen. The garage sorted the rest but without Concordes flexibility nothing would have progressed.

Update. After been let down in Spain and now Germany I wish I had just booked us in for the repair in the UK.
They have a replacement windscreen in stock but have no appointments available right up to the 12th November this was according to the employee at the call centre. Birmingham special team who do the replacement will ring me within 48hours to see if they can fit us in sooner.
I'm wondering if there's an alternative.

We are currently parked up at a campsite in sitges after discovering a crack has occurred in the windscreen, its in the middle top and over 12 inches long. I have sent an email to our insurers (nfu Stokesley) to await there advise.

Also our parking brake has a warning light View attachment 650455View attachment 650456 and the cab aircon has stopped blowing cold. The first iveco dealer has sent back an email shut till September now awaiting info from another one, if I get no joy I will contact iveco uk and see what they suggest as its still under warranty.
I may now start drinking 😝😝.
Your shirt sould open a lot of doors in bars in Sitges. ;)
