Sometimes you have no choice.
Local authorities have been stripped of fund for years by successive governments so have had to reduce services which in a lot of cases have been public services like toilets, parks and gardens, libraries, street cleaning Inc litter bins. Covid measures have placed an incredible toll on services across the country, so some things have to be reduced.
Who are you going to call when your house is on fire . . . . Who are you going to call when your house is burgled? Who you going to call when you need a social worker . . . .
Living here it isn't a problem nor travelling across europe. Just the UK & it has been going that way for the last 40 + years .I guess in these times your often going to be disappointed then.
Quite a few places in the UK. The small town where we used to live has/d public toilets on a triangular area 9m x6m x8m .There was a planning notice on the lamp post stating council were closing to build 9 flats. So that's none in the town & amazement that it is possible to get 9 flats on a plot that size & where are they going to park? So no toilets in the town at all now.Where do you have to go that has no toilets?
Couldn't agree more & also why they are likely to go bankrupt?Meanwhile the number of Directors of Equality Diversity and Inclusion, and their subordinate Assistant Directors, Managers, and Teams has proliferated. The cost of salaries and overheads for all those must be astronomic. I would rather the LA* spent more on real services such as public toilets and libraries and culled these ideological parasites.
[* They infest NHS Trusts as well.]

My tip of the day is. Keep a small flush pota poty in your boot with chemicals ready to go.Sometimes you have no choice.
Spot on, although I would say I have seen some toilets on the German Autobahn cleaned and boy was it efficient, the insides were all stainless steel the crew arrive pressure washed it, replenish stocks then jump into the truck and run off to the next Target. The loo was fresh smelling and I am not sure anything was wiped down by the 'Hit" squad just a good pressure wash !Working outside is a safe option, toilets aren't a very safe option for workers so if you want to protect your staff what do you allow?
Isn't it are own responsibility to look after our own toileting needs or is that someone else's responsibility?
I think those numbers are replicated probably in a lot of the public sector and guess what the services often work just as well which suggests that there were a lot of people before twiddling their thumbs. I've a friend who worked at the water board they cut numbers bigtime. I'm not saying that all is fine and there are no problems but there don't seem a lot more than before. When I joined the Fire Service in 1985 we had 2400 front line firemen. Now 850. Just over one third. Go on, you keep crying the poor tale about how hard it is in the private sector. But and it’s a big but. Who are you going to call when your house is on fire with your family inside? Who are you going to call when your house is burgled? Who you going to call when you need a social worker to help your elderly relatives?
People like you make people like me sick. Bleating about public employees but still expect them to be there as soon as you need them. You know what? We know. Yes we know what you think of us, but we still turn out and sometimes we risk everything to help people like you that really do not give a tish about us. Why? Because deep down we also know that at that moment you can’t survive without us. We don’t want you thanking us. Most of the time we don’t really want to talk to you. We don’t care whether you think we did a good job or not. We know, and our crew mates know and that’s good enough.

Stop in a quiet spot use it then back in the boot. Long drives will never be a concern again. I keep one in the garage and pop it into the boot when needed. We have even used it when staying overnight in the car. Don't knock it before you try it.
i'm beyond words, hope there is a container you place under the seat and you pressure wash those wheels !
