The clocks changing is the real downer that limits outdoor activity

No need to change your clocks, just carry on as normal. I knew a guy who did just that and has a great outdoor life now, the only problem is his boss sacked him for turning up at work an hour late every day

Before I retired we were able to work flexie time
I always tried to go in earlier in the winter and was then able to get the drive home done in daylight. The cold was not an issue but the damp/rain was.
I do try to get out of the house every day but sometimes it is just to the greenhouse or garage
I do have lots of lighting and a heater in the garage but it's different to proper daylight and summer warmth

I honestly wish I shared your enthusiasm.
Life would be so much easier, but we are not all wired the same. for me I really struggle to function at all in winter especially since I retired.
