Cleanest roof competition

I like to keep mine clean too - and the MH - but every green parrot in the area waits till I have the latter away and then they fly down and ........ it needs doing again.
I see you walk on the roof to clean it? our A Class has no roof rack so I keep off the roof. Is it OK to go up or do they put additional strengthening into the roof structure when they have roof racks and rear ladders?

D
If it's a bonded construction should be fine, most have a limit of 75kg.

Fortunately it’s to cold today for applying a coat of wax! According to the instructions on the tin at 7 degrees feels like -7 deg I have had to put my long shorts back on 😂
I never wax the roof makes it too dangerous to walk on. My roof construction has a 2mm GRP panel glued on top of the aluminum roof.

The last clean, the muck that came off !!

75KG limit? OK so a fewer pies and perhaps a fewer chips and I could walk on it.
I want to have a good look at the fittings - check for sealant condition etc. Give all a good clean and maybe a coating of 'get lost you 'orrible birdie'.
Or maybe I could throw a few sweets up on the roof, put some fluffy slippers on the grand kids and play a nice game of treasure hunt....

Yes our Hymer had grp sheets stuck over the alloy roof but I think the Carthago is grp sandwich on the roof, it’s no great effort to lean from a decent set of steps once waxed it just makes it easier next time 👍

I would love to get on the roof and clean it, but SWMBO won't let me climb ladders with my hernia

Has anyone mentioned yet that opening the roof hatches and washing the roof from those is a much safer way to wash your roof? That stepladder looks VERY precarious to me.

The only problem there is I don’t fit through the small roof lights.😳

Well as it has stopped raining and the sun was out I got my shorts on and started with my new 3meter step ladders
So come on don’t be embarrassed show us your sparkling roofs

Christ im glad you told me its ok not to worry about a dirty roof I thought it was going to keep me awake all night

Is that a Protec cover and did you have them do the solar clear panel, or home-made? What glue/stitching or what to attach it to the green fabric?
Yes it is made to measure from ProTec. They made it with the clear panels for the solar panels although on reflection, for me anyway, I need not have had the panels because the van is always plugged into the mains when at home. So glad I bought it particularly this year during lock-down and lousy weather.

I can’t... It’s under its PROTEC cover.
Smug grin...
Second thoughts. :- probably become vermin heaven. !!!
But 20 moth balls and electric gizmos should make it an unpleasant visit 😜
Mitch.
PS Nice roof

We bought a protec second hand dirt cheap it’s like a bit of tissue paper, it ripped apart in 2 minutes up here on the moors. 2 minutes.

I have all the pieces in the shed still wonder how I can utilise them.
