Christmas in Spain

Could you recommend a site in Benidorm for New Years celebrations?
We are going to Camping Raco, stayed there for a few weeks last year. Nice small strip outside the campsite and supermarket close by (including Icelands) and a nice walk into town.

Is it warm enough for tee shirts and shorts during the day in the SE Spain area?

I will accept replies from both Northerners and Southerners as there maybe differences. 😇
If last Christmas anything to go by we were sunbathing in both Benidorm and Benicassim.
But yep as geordies anything above -10’is warm 😂😂😂

It was around 16 to 20 C during the day

Currently in Benidorm. Coldin the evenings as soon as you are in the shadows so at least a hoodie required but still shorts and t-shirt during the day.

Definately yes the four winters we rallied at Almafra..BUSBY

Been spending Xmas in Spain / Portugal for the last 9 years. Would not spend it any other way, the last 5 years has just been Spain as we go where the weather is best when we are there. We usually travel over around the 16 December and come back around the 8 Jan due to work. This year we are going earlier due to work commitments but will still be there over Xmas just coming back by new years eve unfortunately.
Yep us too then on to Morocco

My pretty flamingo and I stayed at the Vilamar campsite in Benidorm from November to April. When we retired 9 years ago, in our Moho. It was fantastic. It was warm, from 10.00 am through to 17.30 then it was cold at night. I got a great tan in December sunbathing. Every few days we walked from the campsite to the old town, we hired a car and explored. The food was great, many mornings we went to the heated indoor pool, here we swam and it was like exercising we got quite fit. There was a concert in the clubhouse at Christmas, and fireworks new year. The beer was cheap, we had a cooking tent and cooked a lot rather than eating out all the time, there were lots of Brits, as well as Belguique, Dutch, German, Swiss, Italians and a few French. We were invited to street parties in the evening, bring a bottle or two or a bit of food, everyone got on great..

Arrived in Benidorm this afternoon. El Raco. Busy place.
I have to laugh at all the mobility scooters lined up outside the pubs. Seems to be the way to get about.
Exploring more tomorrow

Enjoy. We’ll be staying in Denia for New Year but will visit Beni next year!

We plan on just driving straight home after getting off the ferry Thursday night. Roads will be quiet. Hoping to get home around 7 Friday morning.

I would be too tired. Anyway have relatives to visit in Watford on way north. Beer in the bar on the ferry now then hopefully a good nights kip.

In a previous life I worked shifts so tomorrow afternoon I will just prepare for a night shift to allow to drive home. Buffer than 360 miles of Friday traffic, especially the M1 and those Derrington roadworks on the A1.

A break at Watford will mean a short trip for you. Nice one 👍👍

Enjoy your night. Currently in the club lounge. Will have a few drinks before bed to. But tomorrow will be a relaxing day. Weather permitting.

Well on way back customs were checking inside and under beds etc in every motorhome at Portsmouth for some reason.

Then on way back during the night
M25 closed
M1 closed
A1M closed
Another part of M25 closed.
Eventually made it back after a long night 🥳🥳
