From the race course to the zoo is a bit of a strange journey , though I am pretty sure that buses run from Chester to the zoo. It will probably be very very busy there though with it being Easter.

Had a nice surprise yesterday when Julie asked for my front seats out of the Itineo -Got the passenger one fitted back in today and drivers seat to fit tomorrow -It will not be completed for Chester (rears) but if anyone wants a neb around you are welcome -I think they look stunning --She put my seats on the back burner and said she would do them after Chester so this is a real bonus

Just Checked the Chester Camperfest and Food Festival, and they have opened up for bookings again as the ground is good so no problem getting on.

Just had a mail shot from camperfest reinforcing the 4pm Thursday check in, but also adding that no LPG gas canisters are allowed on site-(or they will be confiscated) and check out is by 12pm on the 28th (Monday),. I thought we were ok untill Tuesday???( the camperfest team will be walking around the site reminding everyone)

Hi Carol
Just the checked the festival advert on line for the food festival and its open on Monday the 28th from 10am to 5pm so why do we have to leave before the festival finishes. Its advised from Saturday to Monday and we have paid them to Tuesday for 3 days entrance fee to the show.

I have just been checking the earliest time we can arrive for the Camperfest and Food Festival .

EARLIEST ARRIVALS. 4pm on Thursday 24th March.

LATEST DEPARTURE. 11am on Tuesday. 29th March.

Please be aware that the entrance when you turn into the Race Course is very NARROW take your time don't let anyone rush you it's perfectly do-able we have had a fair few RV's over the years. Just take care.

@toledo As you can see and have said from the beginning I have negotiated with Chester that we can stay until 11am on Tuesday so no problems on that.

As you can see on the thread we are having Bacon Rolls on Sunday in our Marquee as usual.

Don't worry about gas bottles... the Bacon Rolls are safe I have tried to negotiate an earlier start, but the racecourse are adamant that no one may arrive before 4pm. The ground is good this morning and we anticipate getting everyone parked up quickly this year as we won't have the swamps and alligators to deal with.

Good news guys, it's Personal Generators that are not allowed

IMPORTANT UPDATE IN REGARDS TO LPG GAS USAGE
It was stated in a previous email that LPG Gas was not allowed. This was a mistake. LPG Gas is fine to use, but personal generators are not.

When we arrived last year, the Camperfest lot just directed us straight to the Fun area, but they seemed to be handing out an 'info/welcome' pack to the others, did we miss out on anything ? We might have a look at the dog show this year (got details from the CF email) as we weren't aware of a few of their activities last time.

We are leaving Sussex around 4pm tomorrow, does anybody know what time is the latest you can arrive ? I don't think we'll get there till after 11pm, after having to go round the M25 in Rush Hour time... and then going on the M6..
