Rally Chester Food Festival 2019

Couldn’t get any blocks even at Wilkos! I will fiddle further!! Thanks for the responses all are helpful.

Have you tried it back on gas? Annoying as it is when you are paying for hook up it might help confirm where the problem is (y)

That’s the last of the Funsters safely booked in at Chester. Have a great weekend everyone and don’t forget the Jacobs table tomorrow night. 6pm in the marquee.

Many thanks for your efforts in getting it all set up and getting everyone checked in.

And relax!

Ian

Hot enough for shorts today in Chester!

Just returned home from Chester racecourse. I've never seen so many caravanettes in one field.:p

Thanks to Carol and Eddy for the coffee and catch-up. Thanks to the marshals for looking after my little Grom (despite Paul @Badknee saying nasty things about its size:eek:)

Hello @DavidG58 (who isn't 58:D) good to chat again(y)

@ciderman Andy & Marie - you had a luck escape by not being in when I called;)

I hope you all have a great weekend (I notice Janine has great ideas on that front:D2)

Taran:)

If you didn’t make the pub crawl tonight, you missed a great evening.
We have resolved Brexit, and a few other world problems whilst consuming multiple pints of beer at around £2/pint (except those flavoured with chocolate) and learned the correct way of eating Jaffa cakes, jelly babies and Doritos.
There are some lovely buildings around and a few interesting characters joined us.
And we were locked in after hours at one pub

Here at Chester and my fridge has stopped working properly!!! Light is on, gas lights ok, ehu connected and working, fridge chilled down on 12v when driving here but temp gets no lower than 13 deg inside fridge. Anybody got an idea what is wrong? Thermostat? Van is a Hymer 680 A class Year 2000 and fridge is an Electrolux RM 6401
Hi , our fridge is on the blink , keeps going off then decides to come back on. Red light. on and flashing, then that goes off . Been told it could be the circuit board.
I went and got a 12 volt cool box from Argos at the retail park, they also have them in Halfords. Haven't used it yet as the fridge is still cold, and at the moment it is back on.
Hope you get yours sorted,
MewnMick

I saw the Grom but didn’t realise it was you. A grom has gears and a clutch a scooter is for shopping.

Just a chance but turn everything off at the electric controller for a few minutes then turn back on.
Failing that it could be the thermocouple.
We had the same problem on our Savannah.
Make sure it is clipped onto the fins and if it has an in line connection, unplug it and re make the connection (could be going open circuit) or terminal oxidisation.
Good luck.

Morning All, anyone wanting to replace their Cassette or carry a spare? I have a new unused C200 with me. Listed in Fun classified ads, asking £70. We are in Hymer directly opposite the marquee.

Can’t believe this fridge! On EHU supply overnight, got up this morning and all stuff in freezer is frozen and fridge temp is 1deg!! I give up!!

Going to leave all settings as they are at the moment after overnight success and check all the electrics when I get back home. Thanks for all the help

Anyone considering this, it’s brilliant having 2. I keep one in the garage, rinsed and dosed with a bio tablet. Then, every morning full one out, clean one in so full one can be emptied and prepared at leisure.

Chester Funsters. Today at 6pm there is a Jacob's table (bring and share) Please bring tables and chairs over any time during the day. Please Include any spare tables you have for putting the food on

I don't know what fridge you have, but we had the same problem with a Thetford fridge and it was down to a faulty thermistor.

Ours was clipped to the fins inside the fridge and was a 2 minute job to replace.

Sorry to miss the Jacobs and quiz tonight but we had to leave at short notice for a family emergency. We paid for a hookup so anybody who needs to charge up is welcome to use it in our absence. Thanks to Ian @bigtwin for the help with the fridge. Hope to meet up at another rally

It was a pleasure to meet you and to talk about what might be wrong with the fridge. None of which, of course, made a blind bit of difference!

Mind you, I think the fridge knew we were talking about it and was being deliberately obstinate!

I hope that all goes well for the op tomorrow.

Cheers

Ian

Sorry I missed you Taran, I was hoping to have a natter with you about your ‘Grom’. I popped over when you’d left it in the care of the marshalls.

Thinking about getting one to shove in the back of the Motorhome.

Cheers

Ian

Any questions feel free to ask....by the way, I'm no expert on the subject but I did buy it for the very reason you stated.

It is John's think he was a bit inebriated when he lost it.
Anyone know where it is now?
I assumed he’d taken it when it wasn’t there this morning!

Thanks to all those who brought food tonight, and congratulations to the bingo winners. I won’t publish names so you will only get begging letters from those that were there

Quiz tomorrow night at 7:30 in the same marquee. Bring drinks and nibbles. It may pay if you know the total length of the Hadron Collider and the capital of Tanzania. On the other hand it may be better to know how many Easter Eggs were sold in 2018, or what the Pope’s favourite colour is.
