May be a stupid question but are all we Funsters together in one area and if so how do we achieve that. Many thanks in anticipation of your many replies.
Stephen.

I'm pretty sure it will be the case that the organisers will want to herd all the Funsters together in one place as our reputation goes before us.

The Funsters are usually kept together away from the other clubs, partly because we have always had our own entertainment going and it can go on quite late, partly because there was always an event going on which other clubs sort of wandered ove to check on, then sign up for membership, and I would guess mainly because if it wasn't for the large numbers of Funsters there then the events would never have been so successful .. we far outnumbered all the other clubs put together and were far better organised than any of them.

If you get lost, you can see the Funster flags flying everywhere and can usually hear music or laughter.

@Conal has been keeping a list and you will be directed to our Marshalls who will guide you into your parking spot with the rest of us

@joka250 I will update the list to include those who have posted that they have booked in the last few days

We are looking forward to meeting everyone at Chester. Here is the agenda for the weekend :
Thursday arrive and set up, marquee open for a natter.

Friday evening quiet music in the marquee so you can socialise.
Pub crawl around Chester led by @Janine. Meeting point and time TBA

Saturday evening a Jacobs table (= Bring and Share) - please bring some food to share at 6:00 pm, and your own plate and cutlery. Followed by Bingo. Please bring any spare tables to the marquee during the afternoon so we can arrange the food on them

Sunday evening Easter Quiz at 7:00 pm. Please bring drinks and snacks and a pen or two. Please bring £1 per team. This will all go to the winning team (or teams). Followed by quiet music so we can socialise

The marquee is available at all other times if anyone wants to arrange any other activities.

@Conal I fear that we are not going to make this rally, we were really looking forward to the first meet of the year BUT.

So if we don't arrive don't wait up(y)

Martin

I think I've just registered for Chester but I'm not 100% sure as the web page disappeared before I completed. Will ring them tomorrow to confirm. No electric BTW - no surprise there. Arrive Thursday.
Close call here. This is what I posted when I booked originally. Obviously I forgot to ring but in the process of getting things sorted for our Thursday departure I couldn't find an email confirmation. Checked the bank statements and nothing had been taken out so I rang Bryony a short while ago. No record of us on their system and the bookings had been closed, however she managed to get back in and re-open them and got us in at the reduced rate we thought we had booked at. So, we will see you on Thursday. (y)

Hello we are now coming too.

Details of the pub crawl on Friday night as follows:

Download a guide from the following link to your phone (or print it off) so you can drink at your own pace and catch up with us when you are ready. This will also spread us out a bit and save us queuing for hours for our beer :)

Meet at the Funster marquee at 6.30 for the walk into town.

Bring your beer scooters for getting home :)

Hi would you have room for us? We’re all booked, hoping to arrive late Thursday night.
Thanks Sharon

Don't be too late @apple7, any later than 9pm and @Mr Chrysalis and @Conal will be in bed as they need all the beauty sleep they can get. Me? I'll be in the pub I'm past caring. :D2

Booked. No EHU. Form submitted ... arriving Thursday...

Jill, don't forget to go and say hello to the group of solo female campers if you feel you don't want to be alone.

Safe journey everyone see you all tomorrow xx

@Conal sorry to say we won’t be able to make this meet now but hope the sun shines on you all and no one has to wear wellies all weekend :)

Well what started out as a long weekend break, has turned into a ten day break.

From Chester into Wales then Bath then home...

Another question - Can we use awnings?

I purchased a new inflatable drive away at Lincoln and haven't had a chance to try it out yet, being amongst a bunch of friendly funsters sounds like the perfect opportunity for a first attempt.
