Thanks to Carol , Eddie , Polly and Dave and the rest of the helpers/organizers for a cracking weekend despite the weather.
xxxx(y)

Just got back, Chester as usual supplied iffy weather and wet ground but a great time, enjoyed meeting up with friends and making new ones.

Carol, Eddie, Dave, Polly and Allan and Loren did a great job many thanks and the tractor guy was a demon (y) just did a terrific job. Hope the weather stays fair for all you staying on

A big thank you to all the marshalls for there work in bad conditions. Dave (toledo) Ray (Swansea Jack) for the entertainment.
Also to the other FUNSTERS who make these meets so much fun. Safe trips all and take care. John.

A big thank you from me to Carol and Eddie and all the marshalls, great work - all done with a smile.

Special mention for Speedy Gonzalez on the tractor for sorting us out - again with a smile

Thanks so much for your efforts once again Carol with your right hand man Eddie, :)(y)

real shame about the weather really felt for those wallowing in the thick stuff , we managed to get off via the service road behind the marquee, bit of lucky parking on our part

Hope the rain isn't as bad as forecast and that getting off tomorrow is not too bad for all those of you hardy enough to stick it out

Thanks for all the others who did their bit to make the weekend run so smoothly, looking forward to seeing most of you somewhere else later this year (y)

Today - I'll be mainly waiting for my turn with the tractor  ;) :)

I've got beer, I've got food, I've got log and I've got batteries - ironically, the one thing I'm running short on is .... water .

I'm surprised no (British) van designer has come up with a guttering system to bolt on like most folk do with wind out awnings, to harvest the rainwater... little inline filter...

Thanks @Langtoftlad - It's quite a wade to the water taps. Just make do with beer if your not driving any time soon.

Thanks Carol, Eddie and all who marshalled, provided facilities and generally made a weekend memorable for fun, not rain, but see next post to see if you are the one whose turn it was to be towed off.

Home, terrible weekend, I can't think of one thing positive to say about the experience to be honest other than the great company and hard work by the marshals.

Oh and I got to watch the ladies football in front of the van.

here,s to Peterborough

Did you manage to get off with the winter tyres without the tractor?

Thank you to the marshals and anyone else who helped this weekend. Good to chat with old friends and meet new ones. And we won the quiz (y)

I would like to say a very big thank you to @Allan & Loren @toledo Dave & Polly @Cal54 and @movan & @Wendo55 @for all the support/help Eddie & I had all weekend under extreme conditions.

The help I received from @swanseajack13 was amazing he heated the marquee provided lighting and put sheeting on the floor so the marquee was comfortable, he was a hero.

I would also thank all the wonderful funsters who have taken the time to thank and message me assuring me they had made the best of it and had a good week end.
Thank you for all the wonderful cheeses etc that filled the table to creaking a good evening was had by all with music from @toledo . The cakes entered into the cake competition were beautiful , thank you ladies.

Also my thanks to @Allan & Loren - Loren for the Nordic Walking and yoga classes that were enjoyed by everyone who took part, I would also like to say thank you to @RedFrame for his guided walks around Chester I know they were appreciated thank you.

We hope everyone has a safe journey home.
Carol & Eddie.

Thanks Carol Eddie and the rest of the gang
Bill Lyn jay and Ethan

Great meeting up again with old and new faces, thanks to everybody especially the Marshalls.

Nice to be part of an event that will surely go down in history as it couldn't possibly be any wetter without the river bursting its banks.

Thank you to all that organised this weekend, it’s been fun in a masochistic sort of way. I would have stopped again tonight but when I came off there were loads of caravans sorting themselves out so had to keep going.
Again thanks to all for a great weekend

Just a quick echo of all the above comments regarding organisation, marshalling, support & general efforts put into this rally.
It was my first time at this traditional event on the MHF calendar - and Kerry & I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the location, the Funster activities, the Food Fest, and Chester, the weather and ground conditions didn't faze me.
Of course nothing to measure previous years against.
So the only thing I felt I missed doing today waiting for the tractor was a wander into the city and a Sam Smith pub experience...
Just a good excuse to come back to Chester later in the year... :).

So thank you one & all for all your hard work... :drinks:.
