Hi Steve I'll put you down now,. how many of the Chester Rally's is that you have been to I can remember years ago you stopping on route to have a solar panel fitted so you would be ok at the rally..
I've put you down at 96.
 
Hi Carol yes that was the first one you did wow! that's awhile ago, maybe missed a couple, but ever since Eddie said coating the underneath of your Van with mud will protect it till next year,I foolishly believed him ha ha ha.

Hi Carol,
Would it be ok if we depart the Tuesday morning? It might make it easier for a secondary stop in North Wales after the bank hol, so The Gruppenfuhrer can catch up with an old school friend.

Volunteers needed!

Quiz Master

It would be a great help if there is someone that would be up for putting together and presenting a quiz for one of the evenings.

Marshalls

We are currently looking for one more volunteer marshall for the weekend, you would need to be able to arrive on Thursday morning and be departing on the Tuesday, duties will include meet and greet and getting new arrivals parked up in the right areas. Being available at various times over the weekend to provide assistance as required.

Marshalls will be able to reclaim the basic cost of attending the event (i.e. excluding ehu)

Please PM me if you are able to assist with either of these rolls.

I have just spoken to Chester and Funsters can arrive at the rally from 2 pm please have your confirmation e.mail to hand and if you could remember your List No that would be useful.
 
Itinerary

A quick heads up for everyone to let you know the "bones" of what "Fun" have planned over the period of the Food Fest.

Thursday

14:00 onwards - Gates Open (Please ensure you have £2 ready to cover the cost of heating the Marquee etc, any excess will be donated to charity)
Evening - Background music, a drink and a chance to catch up.

Friday

Morning - Bacon Butties
Evening - Quiz and Music/Disco

Saturday
Evening - Jacobs Table, Live music and Open Mic

Sunday
Evening - Chez Jules

For those that are new to "Fun", a Jacobs Table is not a satanic ritual, it's like a HUGE Picnic, everyone brings something edible to share with everyone else with the intention of creating a proper "feast", some members bake, some make canapes, some make Curry, some make Tagine, some bring special rice, some bring dips, some bring starters, some bring dessert, some people buy it and some make it from scratch, it's up to you...

PLEASE READ (sorry for Capitals)
I have been having a conversation with Chester this week and as in the past we have had the choice to stay until TUESDAY morning the race course has now said we have to vacate the Race Course by 7pm on Monday.
I know many of you will be cross about this as I am myself, if I had been told earlier then I would have of course posted earlier, they say crossed wires call it what you will it's still annoying and I'm really sorry.
There are options of the Roudee Car park across the road were many motorhomes stay overnight. Also there are a few Britstops within a reasonable distance of Chester.
if anyone wants any ideas please PM me.
Once again I'm really sorry but it is out of my hands.
 
Will they have a facility to empty the toilet cassette, as sight I'm looking at going to after the Fest does not have emptying facilities

Hi, the toilet's etc start getting moved Monday so I would empty them Monday morning..

I would recommend when you are coming to the festival you come with a tank of water, it makes life easier for you.

No worries Carol , we are due to move across to North Wales after Chester so The Gruppenfuhrer can visit an old school friend of hers. Will find a small farm CS or similar on the way. Thanks again for your efforts here.
 
Well our Chester meet is getting some twists and turns poor RedFrame unfortunately had an accident on his motorbike yesterday and spent the night in hospital, he has hurt his head broken 3 or 4 Ribs and damaged his arm amongst other things and as you know he is the Rally Officer for this meet, he says he will still be coming but he won't be his usual mobile self.
with 100 Vans attending the rally I would be grateful if a few could volunteer to help with the parking and maybe a bit of booking in work because as most of you know I can't walk far and Janine shazanddave could do with a bit of help occasionally if you could post or pm me any help it will be very appreciated, the main thing of course is that Red is all right.
