Chap taking picture of my MH

my wife & I were out this afternoon not far from home when our Ring camera pinged & it showed a chap taking a picture of our brand new MH. ( only picked it up Friday) it did look like he delivered something but no uniform or vehicle. So I spun the car around & saw walking down a driveway but to the back off the house, so I pulled him asking why he was taking pictures. It did turn out to be innocent, but my wife said I over reacted, I wasn’t aggressive but was a little forceful in my questioning. Was I over reacting? I don’t think so.

Apparently, his brother sells MHs & was wondering how much it was worth as he loved to look off it & was going to show his wife to. He told he was a postman but didn’t have a uniform but we did have post delivered, also he told me his car was on our road so took picture of his reg. so hopefully

Doesn't matter he shouldn't be taking pictures on your property. From the road outside he can but not on your private area. Just make sure your van is disabled for a while if your not using it.

Whoa ... A man with a camera taking photos? Now if it were a bag of spanners or a few screwdrivers then it would be a concern. Not sure what a camera or phone , would do or could do to be honest? Im on the side of the wife....Over the top possibly? Anyway....Im guessing its insured ? If so...Dont worry. Oh.....unless you have it insured for being in storage and not on your drive of course....

Postie delivering letters but in uniform, (with or without the standard shorts in winter), would concern me. However, it could be totally innocent.

In an effort to avoid theft of our motorhome we have a Vanbitz Strikeback alarm, engine immobiliser, we place a ratchet strap between the cab door handles so they cannot be opened, we turn the drivers seat to face it rear wards and secure it there with a motorcycle disc lock with integral alarm. We also park our car directly behind it to avoid it being driven away without also moving the car which has its own anti theft devices.

If the bast@4ds get past that lot then they are welcome to it!

We had two parcels delivered about 8pm yesterday. Thought it was a courier as the guy was in plain clothes but they were Royal Mail labels.

Don’t worry it’s insured, are you kidding me. Ido t like these blokes who deliver junk mail to me as it’s a good cover to size up a house. I carry a baseball bat in my MH ( for the dogs as I can’t throw a ball for them as I’ve a bad shoulder ) & for other reasons that I wouldn’t hesitate to use.

He still should have had ID which you could have photographed on your phone.

Make certain you retain the footage of his face on your home camera and not let it be recorded over.

Your in another world.Insurance isn't so you can be lacksadaisical : Anyone stupid enough to be on your property without permission is taking the P.At the very least.

Fortunately the post is only delivered to a standalone post box about 800m away.There is no access to the house .
