From my humble opinion it's not bad at all - and my drive to go it alone was options to choose who and where I work. I don't meet many guys that want to revert back to working for the man...

Working for yourself you are still often dictated to and told what to do. Most self employed people have the worst, most demanding bosses in the world. They call them customers

We have taken on all sorts of work on sites over the years.

We worked a long season near St Tropez in 2017 for a holiday company and despite coffee in a cafe at 6 euros and a go we managed to save £20,000. That has paid for 18 months travelling since.

Each to their own.

I did say it was a long season!

Ten months living pretty much for free and having the pleasure of mostly French customers who were obviously easy going with low expectations. ( I wish)

Probably because they are so ridiculously low they're afraid they will not get any applicants at all.
