UK touring is stressful. If there's a abundance of reasonably priced sites everywhere and plenty to go to at the drop of a hat then I must be looking in the wrong places.
Who gave permission for both clubs to use dienamic pricing,so they charge whatever they want, and nine times out of ten the site is knowhere even half full.LatestPress ReleaseAdvert from C&MC. If this is unparalleled savings, I'm so glad I don't use them at peak times

I loved your message - I was starting to feel bogged down reading so much previously on this thread and thinking wow this is hard work and is sucking all the fun out of today and then your lovely message made me smile and reminded me it’s about what we individually get from our adventures - faith restored, thanksDinosaurs , like 'the good old days' are dead and gone
We adapt and change as our wants and needs change.
Going on about how ot used to be , or when I did this or that ain't going to change here and now , or there and now depending on where you choose to be
I was in a field at £6 a night over the weekend and Monday night at a hidey hole for free.
Sunday evening spent the evening chatting with a lovely couple and played you show me your van I'll show you mine.
We laughed all evening ...without booze and the vehicle cost or how they chose to use it is none of my business.
What was it , I don't know it was not a UK built van and had some very cool.toys including a really clever drop down bed
Will I rember the make of the van nope , but I will remember what nice people they were .
What it cost them or the deprication on again I don't care not my business.
But we had a really nice evening
Last year, we did a 21 nights trip here in UK for average of £17 a night.Using a ferry even a 10 day trip works out cheaper than staying in the UK.
