It hasn't stopped them charging my card this morning for my arrival later today at one of their sites.
Payment processes will be on a different system for security purposes.

It was down yesterday evening, and still today. On Facebook they are telling you to phone for booking or even phone the specific site.

I was in the queue to get in at precisely 13:05 :giggle: now safely ensconced on my pitch, levelled and hooked up (y)
OK I'll jump in before the club haters and say they'll ll have helped your payload as well by the amount of cash they relieved of! :giggler:

It's definitely done that, but it has nice hot showers which don't need a button pressing and I have an awning pitch as well, so plenty of space between me and the neighbours :giggle:

We just found Yahoo wouldn’t load the CAMC website but DuckDuckgo did.

18 hours to fire up the DR plan ?
Sounds more like they don't actually have a Plan B 🤦‍♂️

Sounds reasonable to me to be honest. But it depends. They sound like they have called in specialists from their suppliers. So sounds like it may be an issue with something like the SAN or because they mentioned it possibly a VMWare issue.
The specialist from the company only arrived at around 10:30 this morning. So really only 5 hours on the ground.

Execution of a DR plan can take days depending on what is impacted. So I would be hesitating to pull the trigger on that one but would have it prepared.

I have only needed to do a full DR process once, and I never want to do it again. It really is for a major disaster not a run of the mill failure like this.

A fire burning down the datacentre is one example. But a hardware failure or software config or patch problem should usually be fixed without resorting to DR.

Just my thoughts.

I live in mine full time, I've been off hookup for three weeks but not off grid, as my motorhome is a bit big for hiding away in quiet little spots, so I stay on sites most of the time in the UK, France and Spain are different ofcourse because they have loads of aires. Also i'm a pretty big bloke and whilst it's possible to shower in my van it's not the most comfortable of spaces.

Arrived at a CAMC site this afternoon, outage did not cause any delay with checkin. Wardens are friendly and helpful. Over a hundred pitches and not a single MHF sticker to be seen.

Was on a small CAMC CL past few nights, 7 units on site.
What happened to the 5 van rule?

The DR plan now appears to be in action. They are about to start data migration to the replacement hardware.

Depending on what hardware/environment this could be a quick process of connecting it up and migrating configurations.
Or it could be as serious as restoring data from the backups which could take a very long time.

I personally wouldn't bet any of my own money on it being back up today. The phrasing of the last update is very odd.

In the same area or split apart? I’ve been to a couple of sites recently that had one area dedicated to CAMC with 5 units on but loads of others on a separate area.
