Caravan and motorhome club - electric bikes

Spot on John.
I joined them in 1978, and even then they hated kids on site. I went on a rally and was put right at the back because my old caravan was not in keeping with the snotty nosed poshies at the front. Needless to say, we never rejoined.

Hi J&G , Things seem to have moved on since those days , many sites have dedicated play areas and even organise little events for kids such as Easter egg hunts , nature trails etc. We went on our first Caravan Club National Rally last year and it was a great family event , so enjoyable that we’ve booked again for this year.
I’ll put my hands up and admit I had the idea that it was a snotty nosed club until we joined about 9 years ago , but we have found them to be very welcoming .

Don't forget to mop out that shower when you've finished and be prepared to tolerate the luke warm water at certain times, while remaining completely regimented.....and all for a mere £25-£30 per night

My intention was not meant to offend anyone at all.
I too am a member of C&MC and use their sites when it suits us. However, I pass judgement based on personal experience, and although 'most' of the wardens are perfectly OK, there does seem to be an element who think that a maroon polo shirt gives them an automatic entitlement to be rude, and somewhat arrogant at times.
My point is that as a paid up member who isn't getting subsidised pitch fees, it's a bit much sometimes to have to tolerate rudeness and/or facilities that are not as they should be.
Politeness costs nothing regardless of what coloured polo shirt you wear.
My observations are in no way meant to be a slur on the members who use the club sites....as I do.

I am sure you didn't mean to slur those that use clubsite So no offense taken, but there are some members that have not used a campsite in donkey's years or never used a site or have had one experience which wasn't upto to their standard that coninually decry them.. Anyway enjoy your motorhome whereever you go whether it be clubsite, cls or aires all are good in their own particular way.

Does the rule extend to "chubster chariots" ?

I'd suggest the rule is there in case Johnny Halfwit and his spawn of satan decide to use the site as a electric bike street circuit.
The decent of us, and those with common sense will probably be overlooked (y)

Yes they do but on the occasion I was talking about there was no toilet at all whilst they were cleaning the two blocks , hence my suggestion of staggered cleaning times

Cannot understand this attitude to these clubs.. In the ten years oor so of using them I have only ever had great polite service . I suppose you only receive what you give...
