Yes some do still excist... but usually at the bottom of a farmers field... and not dug with a shovel, but dug by farmers JCB to a death of 6ft and then filled in..Presumably hand dug for black wasteI am amazed they are still allowed to do that
Other "hole in the ground" reverse to lifting a sewage manhole and dispositing yer jobbys straight into the mains seeage system..
Do not really see an issue with that.. "HOWEVER"...
