In umpteen years of using CL's, I've had just one ask for any kind of club membership details. If they should check or not is of course a different matter. They pretty much all seem to be on the UK Campsite website, for all to view.

It’s a good point, but we have to accept that we’re supposed to play by the rules. I’ve known a fair few ask for membership number, but by no means all admittedly.

That's why we always like to welcome MHF members.
I used to use many CL’s without being a member, only once was I asked “are you a member” No said I and she said ok, never mind park over there…..

Do we happen to know what ratio of the membership are tuggers?
If the overwhelming majority then concentrating on them makes sense.

When they changed the name and adopted the Walls logo, apparently 40% of members were motorhome owners. That was in 2017 so, motorhomers may well be in the majority now. Hasn’t stopped them focusing on full service pitches and camping pods though instead of providing a decent motorhome service point on every club site.

Member of both clubs but not really a frequent visitor, for one really straightforward reason. They don't have sites where I want to go, so I tend to go to independent sites.
Also, these days, we prefer heading south over the water, where the club recommended sites, aren't that much cop.
I expect that we will be cancelling both memberships this year.

IMHO, ha..... think you're missing the point. CMC do get it right with........... HOOKS!!!!
They are the only sites who provide plenty of hooks to hang things on in their showers and washing cubicles. No other sites provide enough. CMC give you at least 4, possibly more, you can't have enough.
Well done CMC for your HOOKS.

At £59, 4 hooks are an absolute bargain.
