Bull bars.... Why?

Its only something to try to improve alter the look of your van

Fixed that for you :)

as for safety it probably improves the impact area as it is a very smooth large and round area. if you want it have it

It doesn't improve safety for people or animals outside of the vehicle, and may detrimentally affect the SRS system on the vehicle if it has one, in certain circumstances causing airbags to inflate either too early or too late, either of which could result in unnecessary injury.

Why have, alloy wheels, solar panels, satellite dishes etc etc, because we are all individuals and it’s personal choice, so why not Bull Bars.

Because there are safety implications for bull bars but not the other items

I don't agree, if it is not illegal then the insurance company cannot do anything about it.
Only if you have declared them as an accessory on the application form.. The stipulation is vehicle is standard from the factory.. I had to put down my solar panels. My car was upcharged because I had winter tyres fitted. The moron on the phone was clueless as to them being safety item and not makers specification was all he was worried about. 20% increase to be safer on the road.

Enlighten us please, where have you been to see all these motorhomes with bull bars fitted, were
they driving, parked or at a bull bar owners club meet?. I've possibly seen only a couple in nearly
10 years of motorhoming. Autotrail fitted them a few years ago but it was only a short production
run.
Like you, I have seen very very few, usually on aging Toyotas.

Der it’s for the roo’s 🦘 cobber………

Bull bars wouldn’t have helped my son much……he hit a pheasant a couple of weeks ago…..£1100 damage.

In through the lower plastic front grills, took out the radiator and condenser. 🤷‍♂️

I suppose it stops a bill for vehicle repairs being sent to any pedestrian stepping out in front of the van😂😂😱😱.

On previous vehicles, 4x4s used offroad, they were pretty useful. The latest pretty plastic A bars are useless for anything other than looking stupid on a motorhome

Sadly folk don't read the rules when they sign up and are oblivious to rule 1 especially
