Yes when we opened the door they dropped inside so had to be evicted, I read they don't like Citrus odour so cut some lemon and put it by the windows when they were open, don't think it worked though

Drop them into Fairy liquid washing up water! They survive for just moments!

I'm still finding them from being in Dordogne last September, mostly dead now, the latest ones were in the silverscreen folds

No, it's their first reaction if they feel threatened, which means if you spot them. Plus they are ugly, clumsy, and just as liable to fly at you in your face. I've never suffered any adverse reaction to any other being before, so forgive me if I don't like to being in their presence.

We live in the Charente and they've been out in force since yesterday. I don't mind them really. They're quite cute, how they dive bomb around. If I find them in the house, I just put them back out again They don't hurt you

In small numbers yes I agree and for the first couple of days last year we did release them back out in to the wild. After the first 100 the novelty wore off and we didn’t want them coming back in.

If we saw them flying around in the numbers that we saw last year as we arrived somewhere - we’d be driving straight out again.

Thousands of them, not so. They were in our battery locker at least six deep. When I opened it, they tumbled out like a waterfall, one on top of each other, writhing about. All different colours, sizes and patterns. They'd pestered us for at least three weeks! Inside our bedding at night and in the morning!! Landing in our face! Cute?

Seems like today is the day, we are in the Charente region and the little buggers have been a right menace, ended up shutting all the door and windows and putting the air conditioning on, hopefully they don’t like the cold

Next door to us went out on the Goldwing about 4 hours ago leaving all the doors and windows open, as in wide open, just an old Alsatian for security

We picked up a load in France last September and I'm still find the odd body in the MH and last month a live one (now deceased ).

Had one or two in the van over the last days, so it seems they managed to get in despite our sharp exit. I had even brushed the nooks n crannies of the awning, door hinges and windows ( they were crammed in every available space). Back home now and more fumigation has been ordered.

I’d never seen or heard of them until this year . First started getting them in Bulgaria. Really bad again along the Danube especially today at the campsite in Melk. Don’t know if it’s because it was badly flooded recently? They are horrible.
They stink and make me sneeze. Even if you don’t squash them there’s a faint unpleasant odour. They’ve managed to get into a cupboard now.

They are not harmless if they upset allergies.

All because they don’t cause you any harm doesn’t mean they’re harmless. They cause some of us severe discomfort.
