Anyone travelling north on the M18 - just before J1 - the road has been closed due to an accident & doesn't look like anyone is going anywhere soon.
We are stuck in it, air ambulance & lots of emergency vehicles still arriving........

According to the AA it is a rolled over vehicle blocking lanes......

That would've been great Neil thankfully we were released after about 45 mins & yes , just one car & air ambulance not used.

I assume that it was between J32 of the M1 and J1 of the M18? There was a lot of traffic coming past our house, especially HGVs, presumably diverted via J33 of the back up to J1 of the M18.

There were no diversions! I had to navigate with a map - I’m still shaking!

Can someone please clarify the road into the yacht club. We will be coming on the A614 and thought we would be taking the right turn at Carnaby to the P&R. At the end of that road is a r/bout and straight over there is a road which on Google Earth has a No Entry sign and Private Road, No Access. Is that the road we should use?

Neil turn left at that roundabout, (not straight over) then right at the next island, follow that down, you'll see the Welcome/Reception building for a campsite on your right with a little lane going off to the left & a sign for RYYC. Down there to the T junction, turn left & you'll see the field on the right....

Neil, we followed the directions given by Jimbohorlicks and got there easily. Coming from the South do not turn right into the no access road. Instead go straight over the first roundabout and turn right at the second signposted for the park and ride. Then right at the mini roundabout and immediately left. At the end of that road turn left and follow the road to the rally field

Good morning everyone, waking up to another lovely day. We went down to the beach last evening between 9:30 and 10 pm, such a lovely path down from the campsite, and an empty beach. We could obviously see Flamborough Head lighthouse and another to the south which must have been Spurn point as no other lighthouse on the OS map. I am sure we could see the lights of Hull too.
John really enjoyed his sausages thanks to Steve and Denise and being a veggie, I was happy to donate my one to Rosie who was feeling sorry for herself and wouldn’t eat her breakfast or tea due to starting first season.
